He was Carrie Wells lover in the past, and decides to get her to join his staff, even though she has been involved in illegal gambling and counting cards for nine years .

Lieutenant Inspector Al Burns and Carrie Wells keep their professionality for the first season , they beginning being friends with benefits in the following seasons . They share a wonderful relationship , though she is constantly disobeying his orders as well as the police department protocol . Adding a sympathetic support cast who did a very good job with very attractive acting from player Michael Gaston as Mike Costello who provides credibility of the police department very well . Another great supporting actor in the first season was Kevin Rankin as Roe Saunders , playing the ordinary but rookie street cop detective . While Daya Vaidya performed Nina Inara, a detective with real attitude . And Dallas Richards who becomes their new boss in the second season and he delivers to this enjoyable show some comedy touches .
