Day in the Hole

These series take many forms. This episode is slapstick and not a bad one; I was entertained.

I have given up the idea that I'm watching a police series; this is a soap opera set in a police environment, and as such, I found this episode highly entertaining.

Characters engage in amusing antics, and there is some suspense.

Tim and Lucy's encounter with their doppelgangers, Dim and Juicy, allows their romance to flourish, and this is beautifully developed, not rushed.

The story of Nolan besieged by a gang in a desert outpost follows all the rules of an epic while also incorporating many humorous twists. I can imagine the crew had a great time filming this episode, and so did I while watching it.

Finally made it to the end of season 4 and this episode was disappointing.

The Nolan showdown in the middle of nowhere - seriously? They could have done much more with this, instead it was a bit absurd.

And I'm so over Bailey. I didn't mind her occasional appearance at first but now it's too much. I realize she's some kind of Superwoman who can do everything, but her fight scene was just ridiculous & completely unbelievable. Enough with the writers contriving ways to insert her into every episode. We are seeing more of her than the regulars. Chen, Lopez & Harper are becoming afterthoughts while we watch the Bailey show.

I did enjoy the Chen-Bradford storyline & hope they continue with this new aspect in their relationship. It had a lot of the humour I love about the show.

It's ludicrous and stupid writing but that's what I used to love about this programme.

It never used to take itself seriously, it was never real in the early days but then it lost its way, it started being serious, dark, with meaning but couldn't quite pull it off as it didn't quite mean it.

This was a silly episode with a silly series of plots. But occasionally pretended to be real.

Think TJ Hooker. Cheesy silliness, and I enjoyed it.

I still love this show even though it goes off the rails at times. I agree with another reviewer. I am soooooo over Bailey. Her presence is truly annoying and has changed the show. I do not feel any chemistry between her and Nolan at all. She is her own biggest fan and can do no wrong. She is Superwoman....eye roll. I would give this episode a higher rating if Bailey was not in it. How does this 90lb woman beat up two trained killers? I know this show is ridiculous but it's just going too far with her abilities.

Many people like the thought of Chen and Tim together but I just dont see that either. She is way too corny, nerdy and annoying for him and he is way too serious and uptight. I know the saying goes "opposites attract" but in this case I think it would be a disaster pairing them together.

Also, Pete gets a bad rap but he adds good comic relief. He is completely useless...

I was laughing and having a good time but not because of the jokes no I was laughing at how stupid the writing is. I started watching this show because I was actually invested in the story but now it is just another dumb show to laugh at.
