OMITB (Only Murders In The Building) is not one for glorifying or focusing on the chase/action sequences. Mabel had a run-in with the killer but still didn't see his face and was able to get away with ease. Although it does not diminish OMITB's appeal, it doesn't give it brownie points either. Overall, this episode felt relatively weaker than the previous ones in the season. I don't want to say the word but "filler" pops up as the perfect way to describe it. Mabel's revisit to the past was effective but the lack of anything else really couldn't rouse us up.
I am surprised that in NYC that a person can stab a person on the subway, which is on video and no one is able to find her or even attempting to look for her. Especially someone who is so well known.
The detective is a total farce. Not even a cute baby (and what a big baby ... what is the time frame between season one and 2 anyways?) can save this episode.
And they go to Coney Island in broad daylight and break in and take forever to get what they want. I guess the purpose there was to get that picture in the trio's hands.
Too much jumping around and there seems to be very little that connects in a reasonably sensible way.
Let's hope the next episode is a little better.

- TriviaDetective Williams (Da'Vine Joy Randolph) surprises Oliver and Charles by belting out a short segment of the song "One" from the Broadway musical A Chorus Line. In Randolph's real life, she has performed in musicals, most notably as the main character Oda Mae Brown in both the West End (London) and Broadway (New York) productions of Ghost the Musical; she was nominated for a Tony for Ghost.
- ErroresAt around 25:50, when Teddy calls his son on FaceTime, Theo declines the call by simply tapping the screen. As can be seen on Theo's screen, he can only slide to answer. With Apple's software, he would've had to press the power button to decline the call. Tapping the screen wouldn't do anything.

Mabel Mora: [after learning from Theo, who was at the station at the same time as Mabel, that she stabbed someone and they took her bag] Was it Glitter Guy?
[Theo looks confused]
Mabel Mora: The person on the train. Glitter Guy. Did he have glitter on him?
Theo Dimas: [Signs] Yes. Glitter.
Mabel Mora: [Seeing the sign for glitter, that looks an interesting hand movement, almost dance move-like] Is that ASL for "glitter"?
Theo Dimas: [Theo nods]
Mabel Mora: That was kind of fun.
