The Chief of War

As I watch Jason Momoa I am constantly reminded of Steven Seagal in his later movies. I saw him recently rewatching the first Dune and he looked so much younger and seemed like a much better actor. In Chief of War he seems to be going for the professional wrestler vibe. There is a lot of Hawaiian spoken which is impressive but some of the acting is pretty over the top almost to the point of camp. It does get me wondering about Hawaiian history and how much of this is based on things that really happened. I'm interested to see where it goes in terms of the message it wants to give. Will it be pro gun, pro violence, pro might makes right? Can't tell yet. It is entertaining, just not the best execution and perhaps not the best use of the opportunity to tell some history about the Hawaiian Islands and the Hawaiian people.

It's going to win every award, and for good reason. It's perfection. I've never seen so much chemistry across the board in a cast. This isn't just empty entertainment, or some escapism into simple myth - it's incredibly nuanced and soulful and a visceral ride through genuinely real humanity unlike anything you've ever been told or shown. This is more than beautiful it's amazing and it's awe inspiring. Get into this series and look around, because you are not going to want to leave. Congratulations to everyone who made this together, it's incredible. Thank goodness this got made.

A great role for Jason Momoa. Finally a movie where he's not trying to do too much. Costumes and location sets are awesome. It's been a long time for a good Polynesian historical movie. Totally recommend for everyone. The fight scenes are great. Casted perfectly. Hopefully they are able to make multiple seasons of the show.

The episode commences with considerable dramatic vigour, establishing both character and conflict whilst constructing a narrative foundation of quite extraordinary promise. The early dramatic flourishes suggest the series' capacity to marry spectacular action with meaningful discourse on King Kamehameha I's legendary island unification.

Jason Momoa's endeavours in shepherding this project to fruition warrant particular commendation. His fervent advocacy for authentic Pacific Islander representation, coupled with his championship of Hawaiian cultural preservation, transcends mere thespian vanity whilst honouring Hawai'i's patrimony with requisite reverence.

Been waiting for while now for a good show to drop, and this one dose not disappoint in quality. A decent pilot episode with a good build up for the characters.

It has a lots of tension and The atmosphere is amazing. The acting is also very good and lastly The Cinematography is some of the best. Overall looks promising.
