I actually forgot how much I liked this show. I forgot how ominous everything felt watching it.
I haven't been looking forward to any movies except the comical B stuff like 'Cocaine Bear'.
I haven't been looking forward to a single series other than this one, and this season premiere delivered very well.
Without spoilers, it starts off right where it ended, as if they had already filmed it during the last season.
The transition into this season is very solid and they seem to have mastered the craft that they were building towards.
This will be the first show in years that I await every Sunday eagerly to watch the next episode.
I just wish the show was more easily available in Canada.

So are all of the characters either unnecessarily petrified, annoyingly clumsy and foolish, unable to follow simple instructions, irritatingly selfish and mean, blissfully ignorant while voluntarily stupid, overbearingly obsequious or metaphorically verbose? They repeatedly do the same mistakes or make the same bad decisions over and over and over and everyone responds like ants in a hill that's been kicked over instead of grown ups who have some modicum of experience and adult behaviors. It's like hitting your head with a hammer and being genuinely surprised at the pain. Shooting a tire and scaring everyone instead of just deflating it or slashing it or taking the drivers keys. It like all the order and protocols they've established are gone. Dude can't heel toe climb up a narrow chimney, something a child can do. Collapsing house for no reason. People who've resided there a while and are experienced are acting all terrorized and panicked and helpless. The show did not seem this bad in season 1.
(Shortened summary in the bottom of the review)
(From: Season 2 Episode 1) Starts out from where we ended in the season 1 final, but it makes quick work of going deep into new territory, because already not more than a few minutes in already sets really exciting things up, with a bus now coming to town, which is some of the most dangerous things that could happen when living in the town from (From).
That is only the first part of the episode, it gives you much more great story and a few new mysteries which that you should be really excited for.
(9/10) Great episode with nearly too much of all the good stuff.
Shortened summary: 1st Ep of S2 starts out where last season ended and quickly goes hard at us with such exciting new mysteries and new people coming to the town driven in a bus....

What a boring episode! Weak and nonsense script, fake actors play, dumb and cliche solutions.
What a weird tradition to destroy amazing stories on season 2?
First you are waiting a year for a new episode and then they propose to waste 15 minutes of your life for repeating and next 45 - for a kaleidoscope of primitive and fake actoins, I so hard to believe at least one hero in this episode.
What the reason of this behavior? Why it became as a standard of American movies? It's not a crisis of industry, but downfall. Shame for all this people, who thinking only about the money but not about the art.

Fans of video games will find many comparisons to games such as "The Forest" and "Darkwood" in this episode.
Really great seat gripping stuff here, fouled only by the poor dialogue.
It's almost as though some characters were written to starkly contrast what is being said to them without any indication of acknowledging what was said to them, it completely shatters the immersion and is a missed opportunity to take advantage of body language. The actor who plays the character Victor, is phenomenal in his ability to communicate through his body language, a skill which only a few members of the cast seem to possess.
Still a decent start to Season 2.

- TriviaThis episode shares its title with a renowned science fiction novel by Robert Heinlein about a human raised on Mars who moves to Earth, which itself takes its name from the bible verse Exodus 2:22, where Moses declares "I have been a stranger in a strange land."
- ErroresWhen season two begins Jade has much longer hair and beard. Both are very curly even tho it's the same day season 1 concluded on.
