First season was good. Not great. Enough of a mystery and decent characters. This season is slow and now we've added more characters without building on the ones we know already. We've got no answers, just more questions and things are getting nonsensical. I was with this show for a while, but I'm losing interest fast.
The show had promise but I'm now convinced Hollywood's main goal is to suck people in and then purposely disappoint viewers. Every episode need not be fast paced, action oriented or even move the story forward...but dear god...every episode this season has been a filler episode. Give us something! Do better.

I'm extremely disappointed. The show had a great start, a wonderful plot and world. Season one, especially in the beginning, was sooo intriguing. I was nailed to my seat. There was some bla bla bla scenes here and there, a lot of screaming that is not necessary, but I didn't care because I was getting something. However this season two man!! Just sucks! I don't blame the actors (a little bit maybe because I cringed a lot) I mainly blame the writers. So many side talks that are meaningless and have nothing to do with the story. We are in episode 7 and almost nothing important happened. I had such high hopes for this series but not anymore. What a shame.
Once again we get an episode that teeters on possibly giving us something of an answer to who and what and why only to fold onto the same boring dragged out plots we've been dealing with all season. They start something that seems like it will be a breakthrough and just leave us on a cliffhanger, and I don't mean a good one. There's too much going on and not enough answers to the plots they are tossing out to us. The weird guy just stumbled around giving us nothing but clips of what could be an answer only to go on about the stupid drawings that we have no answer to what they mean or serve a purpose for. The acting is HORRIBLE and the writing is lazy. I warned people they were not expecting to probably even have a second season and rushed to try and put something together. So far they've failed miserably. Unless the last few episodes blow me away which let's be honest is not going to happen then I'd say this was one of the worst 2nd seasons and let down I can recently remember for a TV show. I mean I'm surprised the overall rating hasn't dropped to a 6. I'm being overly generous with a 5. I just want 1 answer next episode or at least the conclusion to 1 of these ridiculous plots that we get no answer to each week. A tip to the writers would be to at least finish a plot before you start 3 new ones each episode. My lord does this stink lol.
From is a show that beautifully stitches together suspense and mystery. Unfortunately it doesn't get to the broad mainstream yet. But since it took it's next step in popularity, there is a lot of hate from a few people popping up on Reddit. Not criticism, but undirected hate almost against everything in the show. After that you suddenly saw ratings on IMDb decline for some episodes, which don't do the show justice.
In my opinion some episodes are weaker in terms of action, because they are putting more focus on the character development. This isn't one of them. From my point of view it has a great balance between keep-you-on-the-edge horror and much-needed dialogue. I, for one, want to care about the characters, and I don't mind a slow burn. It follows tightly the story of the former episode and increases the stress level in the show.
And again, some outstanding acting in it, like from Harold Perrineau and Elizabeth Saunders. Absolute recommendation. Especially, if you liked Lost, The Leftovers and the first season of Wayward Pines.

One of the strengths of this episode is its ability to maintain a consistent tone and atmosphere. The cinematography effectively captures the mood of the scenes, creating a sense of tension and unease. The use of lighting and color palettes adds depth to the visuals, enhancing the overall viewing experience. The production design is also commendable, with attention to detail that brings the setting to life.
However, the plot of this episode feels somewhat lacking. The narrative unfolds at a slow pace, with moments that drag and fail to hold the audience's attention. While there are some intriguing twists and turns, they are not fully explored or given the necessary weight to have a significant impact. The pacing could have been tightened to create a more engaging and dynamic storyline.
Character development in this episode is also a mixed bag. While some characters experience growth and transformation, others feel underutilized or sidelined. The performances by the cast are generally solid, but there are moments where the dialogue feels forced or unnatural. The writing could have delved deeper into the characters' motivations and inner conflicts to create a more compelling narrative.
Visually, this episode is decent but lacks the wow factor of previous installments. The cinematography is competent, but there are missed opportunities to create visually striking shots. The use of music and sound design is adequate, but it doesn't leave a lasting impression.
In terms of writing and direction, this episode falls short of its potential. The script lacks the depth and complexity seen in previous episodes, and the editing feels disjointed at times. The narrative could have benefited from tighter storytelling and a more cohesive structure.
