As an actual Filipino fan, I definitely do have some sort of expectation towards the franchise already before it even announce its cast and I was really blown away by this premiere. The queens have such an outstanding personalities that it literally draws you in so easily. I also love how they technically know or at least are familiar with each other. I honestly think that it would be the biggest strength of this season compared to the other franchises because our different drag scenes here in the Philippines have such tight relationships with each other. And honestly, I think it is what lacking from the other franchises especially with the US with the recent seasons - that feeling of authenticity and genuine storylines that the queens produce because they already have history and connections with each other even prior to the show, i.e. As to what we have seen with the Marina vs Xilhouete fiasco. And this is for sure the heavy reason as well to why DRPH would need a separate Untuck for all the drama to have its own show. Definitely this season is already on a good start for being the definition of reality TV gold. For criticisms, obviously the camera work and lighting could definitely do some revamp for a better watching experience but considering how this is the first season for us and probably having a smaller budget than other franchises especially from first world countries, I couldn't whine more. Aside from that, I could also just nitpick how short the allotted time is for the queens to do their numbers since some of them really do suffered from that restriction. But all in all, including how good the judging was as well, I am very enthralled with this premiere. Definitely, mabuhay Drag Race Philippines!

I'm so glad that S1 of Philippines has already started off with better production quality, lighting, and set design than the first seasons of USA, Down Under, Italy, Holland, and Canada. Five minutes in and I already lost it when Corazon named all her title wins in pageants. Are we not going to talk about the Darna/Dragna and the TITE challenge? My stomach was aching from laughing so hard.
The 1st Season in the 1st episode it captivates you with energy and fun
It has good pacing at the start and center, but the pacing becomes a little bit too quick after it hit the center part of the show.
There are some lighting and camera issues and editing, but again forgivable since its the 1st season and this takes place in a third world country.
The Entertainment is where it shines, the queens are very loud, funny and so energetic while also giving others some shade and drama, it immediately immerse you into watching this show, which is a good thing in Reality TV, the challenges are really fun and makes you hyped while the runway made you gobsmacked and wanting more for the queens to show their outfits on the runway because of the culture which differentiates from other 1st world countries that we've seen outfits before, over and over again (such as the Marie Antoinette dresses).
Overall, the 1st episode is fun and energetic, its different from other franchises especially 1st world countries, minor mess ups are the camera work and editing.
Great episode 9/10.

There's alot of technicalities the show failed to executed, mainly in the editing of the audio, it wasn't audible enough, my tv was in full volume but I cant still hear some conversation of the queens. The green screen in the confessionals is poorly done, some edges of the queens are vanishing. Also the show plot isn't really doing good for the queens, me as an audience didn't get alot of back story from the queens, even some fight failed to provide context.
I wouldn't be the first to say this but these queens are bringing the nostalgia of the old, logo-tv-owned drag race, it was all very campy and fun. Lest I forget the runways like HELLOOOOO the queens did not come to play!
