Could have been a good series but the producer doesn't seem to know swedish law and how police works here. Cannot really grip if they want you to see the ugly side of swedish youth criminality or if they want to glorify it. Deliver Me paint a decent picture of the harsh reality of how second generation immigrants run the suburbs and how they use underage kids to do their dirty work to avoid justice.
The acting is pretty good, at least by the kids. The best in this series is the music. There's not that many swedish series in this genre so I have to give credit for a nice try. Decent to good but some details are off.

This director is pretty brilliant. Everything is in your face and personal. The care of characters kind of questions if this is a real story. The distortion of law enforcement has a bit of sentiment but seems like a job at the end of the day. While everyone care no one does.
I love the show's direction, cinematography. It is up my alley in taste if you are someone that like movies like End of Watch and shows like The Wire.
The cameras have very interesting angles. Sometimes you get a shoulder cam while other times steady. The dynamic affects the way you feel throughout. I thought that was interesting.
Overall, to keep short this is a good 7.8 with a magnetic intensity.

I must say that the overwhelming positive reviews are quite exaggerated. That goes to show that people doesn't really know what the reality looks like.
For me, it gets a 5.0. I was quite positive due to the fact that the creator was also behind a precious truly important drama-series about a school shooting, but with all the incorrect little details, this series just made me disappointed.
The topic is a highly relevant one, but it's quite tragic that they choose a white boy from a middleclass home as the protagonist. There is a lot of things to criticize. The surroundings, the police officers who seemilgly knows everybodys names and are super involved with these kids lives, something that is NOT a fact in reality. It is evident that the writer is someone from a completly different background than the one that is portrayed in this series. Everything is so very out of a white perspective, with little to none focus on different cultures, religion, the state of the society and so on that plays a big role in reality. Gotta hand it to the youngsters though, their acting was alright.
However I still think that it shows a perspective of someone who does not live in that kind of enviornment looking in, rather than from a perspective of those who actually live in the surroundings that the series are supposedly about.
Most of all i'm disappointed by the fact that it's praised so much. Just goes to show that critics doesn't know what good stuff is.

Heavy series. Fantastic acting. I can't speak to how realistic it is in terms of Swedish law, which a couple other reviews have criticized. Whether or not there were mistakes there, this series is really more about the decisions people are faced with and how kids generally lack the intellect and emotional maturity to understand their choices. The acting portrayed this well in the final scenes when it was clear how the lead detective Farid reacted/felt about what had happened in court vs the witness' lack of true understanding about what he'd done.
I recommend for the acting and directing but it really is heavy.

The series is clearly written by someone with no real understanding beyond what they've read in the news. Like many other Swedish series and films, it feels more like theater than cinema. Most actors seem to be reading from cue cards behind the camera, indicating what emotions to display. The result is an empty, plastic, and overacted production. I would rate it 4/10 and wouldn't recommend it unless you're already a fan of Swedish productions. This is my first IMDb review in many years, which says something about how I felt about this series.
P. S. Someone said it was similar to End of Watch. I think that person should watch End of Watch again. That is a well-acted and well-written film.

- TriviaIn the scene where "Dogge" (Olle Strand) is smoking weed with "The Italian" (Rabiah Ferchichi) in their makeshift apartment, the song "Virile" by The Blaze is playing. "Dogge" and "The Italian" then start dancing and shadowboxing as the song plays. This is an allusion to, and almost a direct reflection of, The Blaze's actual music video.
