The story focuses around Edward Furlongs character 'Samuel Peters' who isn't coping with the death of his wife, he turns to the Corey Feldman's character, voodoo god of malevolence 'Kalfu' to make a deal to re-unite him with his wife. When this going on we're also given the story of the people suffering from the consequences of Samuel Peters actions.
The story follows the three main characters which are a Milk Man, Post Man and a Traffic Warden, the banta between them is what sets the tone for the film. Even though the humor can be tongue and cheek at times, it's what makes this a cracking little indie film.
The film does have its flaws along with other B movies but this charming film can be forgiven for that as it has my favorite child star actors of the 80's anyone who is a Feldman or Furlong fan should watch this.
Its on the same vain as Shaun of the Dead but a little darker.

Shaun of the dead, blah, blah, blah. Reminds me of all the Blair Witch knock-offs that came after that mess.
Come on, if the best you can say it was a cheap version of Shaun of the Dead, that is not a review. Here are some filmmakers/frustrated actors that needed some D-list stars for their posters. The writer/actor/filmmakers dug up $50-$60k for two American former drug addicts to give the 12 fans they have between them a thrill.
Boring, low on action and so obtuse I would not have known the plot without reading the synopsis on IMDb. If you're going to hire Feldman, at least use him. This was almost a cameo. Furlong was about as exciting as a wet rag with his flaccid acting.
The Brit zombies all walked like they were trained by Elvis and made up by Kate Moss. The other characters were recycled from other movies. It was like a compilation or maybe a "cover" of other movie characters .
Not even worth the bandwidth off a torrent and probably relegated to the $2 bin at Walmart soon,

Once again, I am completely baffled by the rave reviews this film has received. Please don't make the same mistake I did and be drawn in by the eye-catching (and very misleading) cover art showing actors Ed Furlong and Cory Feldman.
80 minute film with 'Zombies' in title features what must be all of 10 minutes screen time of zombies altogether. The rest is just mindless driving / running / and pointless, awkward dialogue.
I'm a huge zombie movie fan - but I never thought I would despise a film so much as to go out of my way to urge people NOT to watch it. 'The Zombie King' proved me wrong. It is dreadful.
The film focuses on a few different groups of idiots who are scattered around the British countryside - All groups appear to have absolutely no common sense.
This first becomes apparent when the first group of 'survivors' encounter a zombie in a farmhouse they were supposed to be staying in. Rather than fight off one zombie in a relatively secure house, they run blindly into a dark forest where they encounter even more undead.
We cut to a completely different group of survivors looking for supplies in an abandoned town. This and many more overlong scenes involving this group has absolutely no relevance to the rest of the film. Add a milkman add a postman. Dross.

Despite my fascination and love for the zombie genre, then I never got around to watching "The Zombie King" before 2019, even though the movie was released back in 2013.
Why? Well, I can't really claim to be overly pressed for having had the urge to sit down and watch a zombie movie with Edward Furlong in it. Yeah, not much of a fan of him.
"The Zombie King" sort of was trying to be somewhat of a "Shaun of the Dead", but failed to do so, while at the same time trying to also pass as a serious zombie movie, where it fared only slightly better. For a zombie movie then "The Zombie King" was fairly flaccid. Sure, there were moments where the movie was actually adequate, but then came the introduction of the thing happening that caused the zombies to rise, and it just went from mediocre to idiotic. But wait, it isn't all done yet. Then they introduce the Kalfu character, as portrayed by Corey Feldman and it just sank even lower.
The zombie make-up in the movie was mediocre. I will say that it was a good thing that they opted for a bit more than the usual painting the face grey and darkening around the eyes, then leaving hands and neck in the actors ordinary skin tone, because that is just an instant kill for a zombie movie. With that being said, don't get your hopes up, because the make-up wasn't impressive or memorable.
I managed to endure all the way to the end of "The Zombie King", solely because it was a zombie movie, because let me just tell you that I wasn't entertained by what I suffered through here at the hands of director Aidan Belizaire.
"The Zombie King" came and went without leaving much of a mark, and it is a zombie movie that I will not be returning to watch again, despite it actually being a zombie movie.

I Have to say i was disappointed by the lack of gore in this film, as a zombie fan i enjoy watching a full blooded zombie vest... However i soon realized i wasn't watching the regular zombie flick i was used to. This film is very tongue and cheek and does not take its self too serious. (Shaun of the dead style) The comedy is great entertainment value it gave me a good few laughs. The actors were alright... I think there was some brilliant performance and others just okay... unlike other films this one actually had an actual a story. yes its got its flaws but I have no problem recommending this film if you like a giggle... some seriously funny lines.. well done to the writers.
