In plague-stricken 19th century Bulgaria, a rich man and his son come home from pilgrimage to find their village gripped by fear and hunger, as the deadly disease exposes humanity's darkest survival instincts.
Early 19th C. A wealthy man, chorbadhzi Yordan, and his son return from a pilgrimage. They find the plague raging on Bulgarian lands. The villagers are frightened and famished. The Black Death brings out our innermost fears and recalls atavistic instincts for survival.
