BABY OOPSIE 2: MURDER DOLLS is a sequel that nobody asked for, and doubtlessly the worst thing that Full Moon have ever put their name to. Apparently this was stitched together from a couple of web episodes which makes a lot of sense, as the whole thing is meandering and disjointed, and cheaper than cheap. The repellent characters from the first film return and there are a few more gruesome murders to be had, but for the most part this is simply moronic stuff: an evil baby and the human characters that facilitate it. The jokes are repeated ad nauseum, the acting is the pits, and the whole thing is tiresome after about five minutes. Dreadful!
Baby Oopsie 2: Murder Dolls (2022) is a Full Moon Features film that I recently watched on Tubi. The storyline follows Sybil from the first film that is paid to create two new dolls, a clown and a cowbaby. Now with three killer dolls they set out on a killing spree with a goal to open the gates to doll hell.
This movie is written and directed by William Butler (Curse of the Re-Animator) and stars Justin Armistead (Baby Oopsie), Elissa Dowling (The Most Dangerous Game), Pakob Jarernpone (Beast of Our Fathers) and Henry Zebrowski (The Wolf of Wall Street).
This picture contains the fun of the first film with solid kills, great gore, entertaining dolls (plus two cool new ones) and our hopeless Sybil. The clown and the cowbaby were pretty cool and the voices for the dolls are perfectly selected. I loved every scene with the cowbaby doll and the hammer 🔨 kill sequence was great. There's also good splatter and the soundtrack was random but not bad. There's a dance scene that wasn't needed but the Puppetmaster crossover was good.
Overall, this isn't great but there's worse ways to spend 56 minutes. I would score this a 6/10 and recommend seeing it once.
