I didn't know what to expect when I hit play on The Burden of Nine Lives, but it caught me off guard-in a good way. It starts off gritty and dark, almost like a crime thriller, but then it digs into something deeper. Jimmy's story is tough to watch at times, but there's this weird beauty in how it unfolds. Nothing feels over-dramatized, just raw and honest. There's this quiet, almost haunting atmosphere throughout the film that stays with you. You can tell the filmmakers weren't trying to impress with gimmicks-they just wanted to tell a real story. The story touches you at many levels, it's worth giving your time.
There's something really thoughtful about The Burden of Nine Lives. It doesn't rely on big plot twists or loud action. Instead, it just tells a very human story about a guy trying to make sense of his life after everything's fallen apart.
I appreciated how grounded everything felt. It doesn't try to spell everything out for you, which I liked-it kind of expects you to think and feel along the way. The vibe is somber but not depressing, and by the end, you feel like you've walked through something with the character. It's a solid film with real heart and quiet moments that linger, offering insight into loss, healing, and personal growth.

I was looking for a movie to watch and saw this was available. From the synopsis it seemed interesting but boy oh boy....
The wooden acting, horrible special effects make up, this movie looks and feels like it was filmed by movie students. I can't even find a review of it on rotten tomatoes. Even the Instagram profile comments look like bots and paid shills.
The other reviewers on here must be paid shills. I'm not even sure how it won so many awards. I will rate it at 3 stars because I know how hard it is to make a film, but other than that it's bland. Oh and don't get me started on the two detectives.

Bots and maybe cast and crew members of this trash of a movie came on here to up the numbers so you can waste almost 2 precious hours of your life, watching his garbage.
Don't do it.
They literally just got wack ass gangsters and a few novice/amateur actors and tried to make a point on this one.
But it's most definitely the greatest fail of the year.
Trust me. I'm not mincing words. Every word i'm putting down here is how i genuinely feel about this movie.
I've never really done a review on IMDB but i had to come here and create an account just to review and post a rating! Sigh. God save us from having horrible experiences like this one!

Okay so, I watched The Burden of Nine Lives because a friend wouldn't shut up about it-and I'm still not sure I "got it," but I kinda loved it? It's weird, emotional, super slow at times, but there's something magnetic about it. The main guy is either losing his mind or finding himself-I still don't know-but it kept me hooked. The music was haunting in a cool way, and visually it's gorgeous. Like, some scenes could literally be paintings. It has this dreamlike flow that sucks you in, even if nothing big is happening. I wouldn't recommend it for a movie night with snacks and laughs, but if you're in a quiet, moody vibe-go for it.
