Off the bat it was decent, honestly nothing much made it stand out, it lagged behind in the intensity compared to other seasons but I guess that was them not knowing if S17 would be green lit but still it was a little lack lustre for my taste.
The season has had some great episodes, this one not as strong, that doesn't mean it's bad I just don't think there was a lot there.
Again like episode 9 Rossi was the best character I'm the episode, battening with Elias to escape the bunker.
The last 15 odd minutes is where something actually happened that I found interesting.
There is a new mystery for S17 and I hope it's good because it could fall down the rabbit hole of being really slow pace, if that's the case it better be true detective level of story telling Because slow pace and not much pay off EVERY episode not just the end can be extremely boring BUT I do have a lot of faith in the show runners because the season as a whole has been very strong and one of the more exciting and enjoyable seasons in recent years, QUALITY OVER QUANTITY, hopefully the next season hits the magic formula again and stays under 13 episodes, the sweet spot,
Decent episode but strong season, Ep 10 is a 7/10 while I give s16 a solid 8/10.
The single plot line across an entire season forces a slower pacing and the tension and energy of the story suffers as a result. Now that the show is down some major characters, this lack of pace is amplified and becomes quite tiresome - even a chore to some extent.
From watching episode 9 I knew the finale would feel like episode 9 did: Detached, flat and perhaps derailed story wise.
There were never really a sense of urgency. The stakes didn't feel high and there wasn't really a payoff.
Shouldn't the viewer get a form of payoff from a finale? I mean sure there can still be a cliffhanger that it ends on. A "to be continued" sure but there's nothing here. Like opening an empty container..
Instead of focusing on the BAU doing what the BAU does. This turned into a bureaucratic cloak and dagger thing last minute?....Why?!
Why wasn't this what it was hyped to be? The BAU vs an Apex Predator serial killer...
I'm sure a following season can be amazing, but why couldn't this finale be as well...??

- TriviaThe air quality meter Rossi finds in the bunker indicates the oxygen level is 82.7%, this indicates that oxygen levels are 82.7% of normal, not that 82.7% of the air inside the bunker is oxygen, breathing air with that much oxygen would actually become toxic in a short period of time. Normal atmospheric composition is 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 0.9% argon and the remaining 0.1% are gases like carbon dioxide, methane, water vapor, and neon. If the oxygen levels in the bunker are 82.7% of normal that would mean the oxygen level would be down to 17.36%. OSHA considers 19.5% oxygen to be the lowest acceptable level, below that the symptoms of hypoxia begin to set in. Rossi would be starting to feel the effects of hypoxia at 17.36% due to him being over the age of 70, different people have different tolerances to low oxygen depending on their age and overall health. Oxygen levels between 19.4% and 10% cause early hypoxic symptoms like increased breathing rate, accelerated heartbeat, impaired thinking and coordination. Levels between 9.9-6% will cause severe hypoxic symptoms like nausea, vomiting, lethargy and unconsciousness. When oxygen levels drop below 6% fatal hypoxia begins to set in causing convulsions, cessation of breathing and finally cardiac arrest, the exact oxygen level that causes death can vary anywhere between 6-1% depending on the aforementioned factors like age and health.
- ErroresThe air quality meter Rossi has indicates that the oxygen level in the container is 19.3% of normal, which would mean a total oxygen concentration of only 4.05% (normal oxygen concentration is 21%). Oxygen levels below 10% cause severe hypoxia, at 4% Rossi would be unconscious and near death, someone his age would likely pass out at around 10% (47.5% of normal).

Penelope Garcia: [closing quote] What's that thing? That thing that Emily Dickinson said?
Luke Alvez: "The heart want what it wants, or else it doesn't care"
Penelope Garcia: You know Emily Dickinson?
Luke Alvez: I... I know that quote
