The X-Men return better than ever! I'll admit I didn't watch the original series but my boyfriend did and he caught me up on what I needed to know before we watched this series.
Everyone knows Wolverine, but others like Gambit, Rogue and even Beast steal the scene. I love that each member of the X-Men has their own time to shine. I like Wolverine as much as the next person but him being the main character in EVERY single live action film was too much so I'm happy he's taking a back seat this time.
That twist at the end though... you could tell things were gonna get serious. Maybe this series will be kid friendly, maybe it won't. Either way I like what I'm seeing so far.

When I eared that X-Men 97 what was coming up And that there was supposed to be their direct contamination of X-Men 92. I decide to look the whole series of X-Men 92.
Being a fans of the X-Men live action movies for decades I was not disappoint. I was Even more surprised to see that most of the live action movie where directly bays on the storylines of X-Men 92. So if you haven't seen completely, the X-Men 92 series, I strongly recommend that you look at it before looking at X-Men 97, That being said, the bar was really high, but when I watch the first episode of X-Men 97 I was flabbergasted! Not only the continuation is impeccable, but the increase resolution and colors add a lot to the visual experience.
The cast is still awesome and the action for this first episode is completely insane. Storm is absolutely wonderful and epic. And wolverine Is steel the bad ass, smart mouth, angry Bob that we all like.
I think the producers and the writers I've done tremendous work and are perfectly in line with the highest expectations of X-Men fan.
Can't wait to see the next episode and I'm so glad to hear that they already signed for a second and third season.

While the action scenes and fighting have gotten a much needed upgrade in terms of fighting with more versatility and better use of their powers, somehow the drawing style looks more... bland at times.
Most characters are true to their original ICONIC appearance, but they really did Magneto dirty. He looks like he's been through a few plastic surgeries since the last time the show aired...
Supposedly the show now has more details, but it still feels like it has less of it at times, and that becomes VERY clear when characters have dialogue with each other and you realize they almost have no facial expressions whatsoever anymore.
Do NOT skimp on the drawing budget of this show. At times during close-ups of characters I counted a maximum of 7 color variations (poor Scott's face has no detail close-up!). I could make more detailed coloring in MS Paint!
That aside there are plenty of scenes where the show has good moments. Great even! Especially the fighting. The characters now have MUCH better teamwork and combinations, and they have excellent versatility in terms of their personal powers AND their individual character traits. It was extremely satisfying to see Storm being given the credit she deserves: "Omega level threat detected!"
All in all I have faith that they won't piss on the legacy that is X-Men. But I have one wish/hope/request as a gay man and here it is: The series of the 90s was great in all ways! It was relatable to anyone, especially people who didn't fit in, because the mutant issue was relatable to EVERYONE who ever felt like a misfit or an outcast. That is why I desperately hope that they do NOT include a bunch of token LGBT characters in the new episodes. I feel like I am overrepresented in every show, movie, series and story already. LGBT people are the new "token black guy" in creative works. DON'T make the same mistake. The original X-men was great because it tackled social issues gracefully and naturally, not by forcing it awkwardly unto people. I've only seen the first episode so far, and thankfully this hasn't happened - yet. But it usually DOES happen with shows these days, and I'm so exhausted by it. I don't want more representation. Just write good stories and draw them well. That's all you need to keep doing for the show to be popular.

The old one of the 90s was much better both in animation and in story too !
This Missed the mark ,looks like Disney can't make anything good anymore ... Why does it looks so bad ? Was the animation done by a not smart AI or something ....
the animation It's looks so cringe and weird , the nostalgia alone won't make it for me .
Better just look anime instead than this thing !

Are those positive score even real or mostly Paid Bot or something , makes you wonder ?
I saw in twitter / X that most people didn't like this remake .

This was a nice first episode that manages to capture some of the things i expected! Great intro to the characters and the story was set up to get you excited for future episodes!
I loved the style of the show, as it had that nostalgic feel that brought me back to the 90's! However you can still teel the animation is up to date with some fanstatic action sequences with a lot of fluent and organic movements! The colours were great too!
The story itself was captivating and I love their focus on Trask and sentinels, as it is one of my favorite storylines!
It still has to grow on me a bit, but for know this was a surprisinly good first episode!

- TriviaOn the exterior shot of the building Roberto da Costa is being held by the Friends of Humanity, there is a missing person poster on a pole. The person on the poster is Marrow, a member of the X-Men in the comics in the late 1990s/early 2000s.
- ErroresThe reflection in Cyclops' glasses of the picture of the original Xmen line up is the wrong way round (it is not mirrored, as it should be).
- Citas
Sentinels: Surrender, mutants.
Cyclops: [clicks on his communicator] Give 'em the forecast.
Sentinels: Omega-level threat detected.
[Lightning strikes the sand, turning it into glass.]
Storm: Ancient sands, heed my command and reclaim these relics of hatred.
[Storm destroys the Sentinels with a tornado of glass]
- Créditos curiososThe opening sequence adds Morph and Bishop to the roster. In addition, Jean Grey and Storm sport their new hairstyles. The final scene has Thunderbird/Warpath and Gargoyle replaced with Emma Frost and Lady Deathstrike on the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants roster.
