Not a satisfying finale to the season at all. I think this season overall was more enjoyable and better than season 5 as there were no sperm or dragon episodes in it surprisingly! But season 5's finale was definitely way better than this and they decided to allegedly keep the main storyline with Rick Prime for the seventh season, so we're probably gonna get a continuation in the 11's season hopefully!
The premise of the episode itself is decent I guess though it still relies on the exact same thing all of modern SW have been criticized for, but nevertheless it's a decent idea for at least half of an episode, I'm just not sure about it being the main plot of the whole episode. Because honestly, it felt like they just had this one idea, or let's say a shower thought most people have had about this idea and they just ran with it without it having a plot that feels like an actual episode of Rick and Morty.
Like it just feels like I'm watching an incomplete story about this plot. Compare it to the last episode's plot and this whole episode feels like 1/3 of that plot. This is a rare instance where the "episode ended too fast I didn't even notice it was 20 minutes" is not a compliment and a negative because there wasn't much substance for a finale.
I guess there is one other subplot about Rick himself which starts out ok but doesn't really culminate into anything special or substantial other than one funny slow-motion scene.
It is especially more disappointing when they had a whole season with random stories and no mention of Rick Prime making you think that this last episode is at least gonna have more than what we got, but no, there's nothing and we have to wait another year or two to see if they're actually going to stick with a real coherent plotline or if they're just gonna drag the story to season 10 and sprinkle a background cameo and reference every now and then and then at the end we're probably not even gonna have a whole 20 minutes worth of storyline with Rick Prime.
They just did some Rick Prime at the beginning of the season, then they decided that "eff it, we can't be f'd, we leave it to future us to come up with some ish about Rick Prime when we're gonna write season 7 or 8, so let's just mention it a couple of time, I think that's enough."
Anyway, this episode was just decent and the idea while interesting at first, they don't really do anything that fun or more interesting with it and it feels like a regular episode they put in the middle of the season not the finale. The idea itself and plot b could've had more interesting revelations and conclusions, but they are just mediocre in the end.
The episode itself is fun and compare to some of the atrocities of season 5 and previous seasons it's clearly a better episode and more fun, and by itself it's a 7 or an 8/10 episode, hell, I would've given it an 8/10 if this was episode 5, but as the finale of this season especially after that first episode? It's unfortunately disappointing and gets a 6/10 from me.

Underwhelming. Hopefully this will be inspiration to the next season; but it seems the writers have lost their touch.
It was nowhere near as creative and inventive as we've seen before. With this so-called 'finale' of the season, it seems the team were reaching for more time-permitting canon to scrape another season out of viewers.
Rick wasn't nearly as intellectual as he should have been (and we've seen him in worse situations). The story and comedy of the episode drew dry and dated after a few minutes.
I'm not the biggest fan of Christmas-themed movies and TV episodes but even that theme was neglected by the end.
A few moments of giggling... yet let down by the lack of care for the episode.
I wish the best for Rick and Mort and I know they'll be back! You know they have something in store for us...

It's not a bad episode. In fact it's in the better half of episodes this season, but like, really?
This is the first season where the plot felt like it it didn't move at all.
It's weird because season 5 had great story beats, but had a few episodes that were no where near up to the normal rick and morty standard.
But this season while not a single one of the episodes was bad... there was very little that the show delivered for it's story.
Now that's not the worst thing ever, but I did come out of this season thinking by rick and morty standards it was average.
Yes, season 5 had bad episodes.
But it also had way more episodes that stood out. I still think this is an improvement, but I can't say I wasn't disappointed by the lack of story.
The episode itself is fun. It has some nice moments and is entertaining through and through. Although it's not the funniest and most of it's value comes from character development and being a fantastic teaser.
And to be completely fair, while it being a teaser in the first place isn't something that I love, I also admit that, that is completely a problem that only stands because I have to wait for season 7.
Which means it won't be one for future viewers.
Anyways, this season had a lot of good, but not as much great as I expected.
The only episode that truly stood out to me was the meta one which as a wanna be writer, I absolutely adored.

This episode was a blast, I'm really liking Marty's character development and in more recent episodes his ability to think for himself (although that leads to more good than bad).
This episode opens up with "Nice" Rick giving the family presents thus giving Morty a lightsaber. Then the lightsaber falls and whilst retrieving it find the original Rick trying to find Rick prime which leads to story points unfolding and the president coming back into the mix.

What I disliked:
This season is probably the best since season 3 and had great episodes like Solarricks, Analyse Piss and Night Family as the stand out. I like the more canonical episodes this season as they actually flesh out the characters a fair bit in the right direction. Overall I'd give this whole season a 7/10.

What I liked:
- Nice Rick (A side of Rick that is there but we never get to see)
- A dumb story that leads to good laughs
- Star Wars (duh)
- Disney Star Wars hate (Duh x2)
What I disliked:
- Lack Luster Concept
- The President (at first he was a cool character but now every episode he's in just worsens the stories overall quality)

Not the mind-blowing end to the season I think we were hoping for and certainly weaker than the season 5 finale, though this still delivers a pretty funny, well paced episode. Robot Rick was definitely a highlight and it's always nice to follow Morty's character development throughout the show. Despite suffering from much the same problems every recent episode displays like an over-reliance on metalanguage (self aware promises of future canon and plot points) and pop culture references (the whole episode is a star wars joke), this still delivered in a way that satisfied me, and it's certainly a good entry to the show.
