Just when I thought Rick and Morty couldn't have got this much interesting. Even last season - it was the 1st episode with Nimbus that was great. The finale was too, but that was mostly them closing arcs from few seasons in one episode, Relationships closing with Morty and time with 2 crows or whatever felt like such rushed job.
Also, them being like - now the fans can shut up felt the Show being not interested in being genuine with itself at all. But now with Season 6, its back with Solariks which was such a great opener which bottled the last season's ending. Then last 2 were good as well. This however felt like the old days. Like Meeseeks. Whole episode was a great ride. I felt terrified at parts, and very much gripping from front till end. They did some creative things with the sleep dynamic during action sequences --good gracious and didnt coped out in the middle when you have such great concept.
Seems people are weird out over Rick not being supergod like with S03 and S04. Well you know what? I'd rather now with S01 and S02's Rick than the later. Speaking in terms of power-level. Of course, he is still same intellect (and be in peril) even when sharing screen time with all family members evenly.

While this episode is no masterpiece, especially compared to the absolutely amazing episode that came before it, it is certainly not a bad episode. Rick and Jerry make a very hilarious duo that we haven't seen on their own for three whole seasons. The concept of fortune cookies being real and actually controlling one's fate is a very inventive concept, and they expand on it quite well. The episode also happens to be effortlessly quotable (fortune cookies are alien poop). If you're looking for a more serious episode from this season, go watch Night Family. However, if you're just looking for a fun time, this is a great episode of Rick and Morty.

This is, without a doubt, one of the funniest episodes of the entire show. They managed to turn a silly and recurring urban insult into a completely new, spectacular and super fresh story. A Rick and Jerry adventure that does not disappoint at all.
It feels like the classic Rick and Morty of the first seasons, fully focused on comedy and the absurdity of the scenarios, finishing it off with the sarcastic and acid humor so characteristic of Rick, which in turn is accompanied by excellent development in the episode's own plot.
It is a pleasant surprise to see how always in Rick and Morty they manage to bring something fresh when one might think that they have already seen everything and every resource had been used. Worthy of applause.

This episode reminded me of pickle rick from season 3, only this time Jerry's in the story this time which is hilarious. I loved everything about this episode, we get to see how op Rick really is, and it reminds me of his what he used to act like in the first 2 seasons. I thought the pacing was excellent and thought the ending was great. I don't want to spoil anything about this episode for those who haven't seen it yet but this in my opinion has been the best episode of season 6 so far. My 2nd pick would be episode 1 and my 3rd would be night family. Overall, this fun adventure with Rick and Jerry is just what I needed to keep me invested for the rest of the season.

Unpredictable, fast-paced, unapologetic, grossly funny, character-driven. That's classic Rick and Morty.
It doesn't stop there, though! We have well-placed callbacks (one of them hilarious), easy-on-the-eye animation, and more world building.
I don't think Rick and Morty should play safe, and sometimes it almost seems that's their goal. Being a show which you'd be embarrassed to recommend to your parents is definitely the point. They aren't afraid to shock their audience, and it's this sentiment which makes many legendary episodes to be possible. What I found specially remarkable in this season is watching how tastefully they're using this liberty.
I'm completely convinced they took notice of the critiques of season 4 and 5, made some course corrections, and put to good use the money adult swim is throwing at them. There's no denying the results!
Season six ON FIRE.

- TriviaThe title of the episode is a reference to the Destino final (2000) movies, where the plot revolves around the idea of Death collecting people who seems to have cheated it, which is the reason of the whole episode trying to avoid Jerry's destiny predicted by the fortune cookie.
