Second volume in THE TEACHER series finds auteur Nica Noelle trying a different formula for her "real lovemaking, real orgasms" porn label Sweet Sinner, and I enjoyed the results. Having seen more recent efforts from her this emerges as something of a one-shot.

For starters, the disclosure statements on screen and packaging reveal a 5-day shoot spanning a six month period. Compare this with typical two-day shoots (often during the same week) for Sweet Sinner and you know something out of the ordinary happened.

Plot line is familiar, horny students seducing their elders, delivering the May/December romantic sex scenes that represent SS's and NN's trademark. Opening scene has extremely natural blonde student Jessie Andrews seducing literature prof Tommy Gunn in his office in order to get credit for summer school (making up her flunking grade in class), as she's off to Europe to accept a modeling job. Though Gunn is unemotional during the sex action (fitting his character's reluctance to get involved with a young girl), Andrews makes up for it with a sizzling performance. Her absence of tattoos and unglamorous non-porn look add to Nica's quest for naturalism.

Second segment is conventional but quite stimulating as Gunn returns home after a hard day's work/humping to bed down with voluptuous wife Raylene, also quite natural, despite her prominent tattoos. Their emotional bond is well- conveyed by both performers and the footage is the video's highlight.

At this point, the zig-zag of Nica's approach takes place, as the usual limited cast (4 to 6 sex performers and that's it) expands with an actual summer school classroom scene of Gunn with 5 students. They each identify their favorite authors (Kafka, Nabokov, Tolkien, Hunter Thompson -where's my favorite Herman Hesse?), and Gunn daydreams about two beautiful blonde Eastern European girls sitting in front of him - Mina and Jenna. Nica gives us just a minute-long sensual lesbian scene of the duo as imagined by Tommy, a wild departure from her 25 to 35 minute sex bouts for Sweet Sinner -sort of a bonus.

When two of the other students get permission to leave for a bathroom break I thought we'd be treated to humping in the john, but surprise, Wolf Hudson is stopped in the hallway by Dean Nica Noelle, who reprimands him and takes him to her office for a tongue-lashing. Of course, a different sort of tonguing ensues, as Wolf doesn't take kindly to being bossed around by authority figures and he sexually assaults the video director -however, this being porn Nica's objections turn to oohs, aahs and active participation after about 5 seconds of resistance.

Another surprise is in store as Raylene is at school looking for her hubby, and accidentally walks in on the dean and her student humping. Wolf jumps at the opportunity and within 15 seconds Raylene has made it a hot & heavy threesome. Nica's career specialty of lesbian sex videos comes in handy and the three have a gay old time together in the cramped office setting until Wolf delivers a mighty money shot on both Raylene's belly and extended to her breasts.

Back in the classroom the program ends with cute Courtney Page staying after class to discuss Nabokov's LOLITA with teach. Both make perceptive points until Courtney lunges at him with a smooch and humping across his desk follows naturally. This is an effective scene and makes one want to see more of Courtney, who unfortunately has career credits (other than this outing) generally in the gonzo or fetish (chloroform anyone?) genres.

I was stumped as to the identity of the blonde lesbians as well as a tough-talking punk girl (non-sex role) who are uncredited; besides Nicky Angel as the buxom lesbian, the other blonde was named Mina but she didn't match visually (or in voice/accent) one of Nica's lesbian starlets on her Sweetheart Video roster named Mina Meow, so I drew a complete blank.
