A 10/10 for me.
Kaiju No. 8 has quickly become one of my favorite manga and anime series 😍.
I love the characters, the plot, the animation, and of course the music (featuring artists like OneRepublic, AURORA, and more).
Like director Shigeyuki Miya and creator Naoya Matsumoto intended, I particularly enjoy the protagonist archetype at the heart of the story-the kind often seen in this genre, where an ordinary individual gains extraordinary abilities, becomes a hero, but also carries the weight of inner struggles as a consequence.
Kafka Hibino is such a fun and memorable main character. His interactions with the rest of the cast are hilarious, yet the series also knows how to balance comedy with serious, emotional moments. It can make you laugh, and it can also make you sad.
I've been recommending this series to my family and friends-and I'll keep doing so! It's definitely worth watching.
