Binge watched the entire show in one go. Truly marvelous acting. Don't go by the other reviews and watch with an open mind. Plots might seem obvious at some points but the stellar acting covers it up.
People say it's a rip off of Emily in Paris but that's just not true. It has the Bollywood in it which separates it apart.
The characters are well developed, the relationships are well developed. The cinematography also was magnificent. I'm glad I gave this show a chance and I feel everyone should as well if you are looking for a good chick flick.
The comedy at some point could be better but other than that the show has everything. I thought this would be a one season thing but the END! Can't wait for season two now!

This was a good watch! Very entertaining, dialogue was good, there were some technical errors but not so much that it bothered me. Ananya was VERY good, her expressions were on point and she was grounded where needed, and loved the supporting cast. I do think gurfatteh and her chemistry was good during the important scene they shared, but otherwise his character was too toned down I felt. That's my only really bother because I think there could have been more potential with them. I enjoyed the Bollywood references A LOT. That was a nice touch. Overall great watch, predictable ending but guess we will see what happened if there is a season 2. I do hope there is one!
Just finished and it is absolutely, 100% a welcome change !!
Sadly, this nepotism tag / social media fad ruins the fun even before it starts. No wonder this was a mere 4.5 stars to begin with but climbing now.
Nepotism is there .. not denying the obvious but in movie industry where you bet you own money on how the movie would do .. isn't it just as simple as inheriting a family business where there could be better people who can lead the business ??
I think so. You can choose to disagree and it's okay.
Anyway .. not a masterpiece but 100% a one time watch A lot of cringy stuff but a lot of worthy ones .. somewhere here or there a bit of poorly written script but definitely more than a few good moments .. backed by solid performances in their capacity.
And can you believe it .. not a single "gaali" .. like what !!! .. how can you even :)
All in all .. nothing short of a 7 .. all day, every day :)

I'm not for fluff, I have never liked Karan Johar's movies like Student of the Year kinds .. but call me Bae is actually a nice watch.
Watch it without any judgement. It's pure entertainment with a cute mockery of the rich and famous without being derisive .
I actually watched a few reviews by famous reviewers and earlier decided to drop it because they were not that encouraging.
But having lost trust in the famous reviewers over the last few years (especially after Pathan ;);)) , I decided to give it a go.
The fact that I completed the 1at episode and decided to continue told me that I would sail through.
I particularly loved the innocence of Ananya Pandey. As per the movie, one doesn't have to go to journalism school to be a famous journalist, the same way I feel Ananya doesn't have to be a fabulous actor to hold the entire show. She has done a good job by acting who she is, how we see her on social media .
The supporting cast is full of energy and that doesn't let the show go boring. Vir Das is good as an irritating Tehelka style presenter.
My favourite is the watchman who tells Ananya - Aapki majboori jahan shuru hoti hai, wahan tak pahunchna hee to apna sapna hai 😀 with a snide ref of Siddhant Chaturvedi.
