How wonderful it is to see mature professional relationships in anime cannot be emphasized enough. These stories are far more meaningful to me as I become older and I think they're more relatable than most high school romance novels. With endearing characters, hilarious conversation, and some truly touching moments, The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague was an adorable and enjoyable journey through and through.
I was enamored with this series from the first episode. With the exception of the Yokai element, the setting feels genuine, and the artwork is among the best I've seen in the genre. It does a great job of giving us the impression that we are working with the characters in their office and experiencing their everyday lives. Narratively, the show is somewhat episodic, with the apparent goal of uniting the main couple and fostering a bond between them through work-related activities on a daily basis. It's a slow-burning tale in which the couple finds great satisfaction in their little, incremental successes. Going on a date, amusement park, etc. In short, don't anticipate anything significant.

(10+) This could have been SO much better! Opportunity after opportunity to "right the ship" just by halving, or even quartering, his frozen blizzards and self-icing! How many times did we need to see it? Of course, it's completely unrealistic in that his snow comes, it goes, leaving nothing... but some of the episodes had him blizzarding ten times! It was ridiculous. The animation was gorgeous, too, so it's a shame. The romance went pretty much nowhere even though in one episode they held hands but then seemed to regress. WTH? It made no sense. Also, the last episode was kind of a train wreck and creepy. Unfortunately, pass on this one.

The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague is a delightful story that weaves humor, romance, and a touch of magic into an everyday office setting. The tale follows Himuro-kun, a modern-day descendant of the Yuki-onna, whose emotions inadvertently influence the weather around him. This charming quirk leads to unexpected weather events, from sudden snowstorms to gentle flurries, depending on his mood. His colleague, Fuyutsuki-san, is the calm and collected counterbalance to his frosty demeanor.
Their interactions are filled with warmth and gentle humor, as Fuyutsuki-san navigates the chilly surprises that come with working alongside Himuro-kun. As the two grow closer, they discover that their differences complement each other perfectly. The story beautifully captures the nuances of their blossoming friendship and potential romance, set against the backdrop of office life and the gentle magic that accompanies Himuro-kun's presence. With each chapter, readers are drawn into their world, eager to see how their relationship unfolds and how they overcome the whimsical challenges posed by Himuro-kun's unique abilities.

This work has a setting where the character's appearance and surroundings freeze when he or she becomes emotional. But there's no explanation as to why that's the case. You don't need to see this whole piece. When a woman says something like, "We're a couple," the man says, "You're cute..." " is all about the development. That's really all this work is about. There is absolutely no effort or effort to do anything for a woman. Because a woman knows what she wants to do and say what she wants to say. So what am I supposed to feel? This piece of trash is a waste of voice actors. There are no rivalries, no goals, no power needed for any story. Thanks to this, it is a work that proves the decline of Japanese animation. Good job!
I watched it with my wife since we both enjoy clean anime rom coms. At first, it was hard to latch onto because the main characters seemed a bit robotic and hard to relate to. I wasn't sure if I would be able to last beyond the first episode. However, this first impression did not last.
There is a good variety of different characters, and they each have solid depth/complexity. In short, they are all hilarious together and have a unique work dynamic that is refreshing for American culture. I would recommend giving the first two episodes a shot so that you can get a good feel of the characters in the show. From there you can decide if it's the right show for you, but I'm eagerly waiting for another season. I also like to rewatch the show to have something calm and interesting on while I settle down for bed.
