I Become Supreme Lord of the Bathroom is an amazing episode. I have watched 2 episodes in this series and they were both really good. The premiere of the show was better, but I still consider this a good episode. The last episode had a lot more emotion, but this episode has a bit more action and a tiny tiny pinch of humor. This episode is just really setting the series up on Camp Half-Blood and the quest. I can't wait for the next episode. Actually, I don't have to wait. Episode 3 of this series got released just yesterday. I think that after this review I will watch the episode, then review that episode and the whole series on IMDb. After that I will review Season 1 on Rotten Tomatoes. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy. That'll only take what, and hour and a half. In all, I give this episode a 7.8 out of 10. Keep up the good work Percy!
This episode was absolutely brilliant! Watching so many of my favourite characters being introduced into this has blown my mind, and since it would probably take me forever to describe just what I love about each of them, I'm gonna hit the highlights.
Luke...*cue the squealing* What else can I say?! I ABSOLUTELY ADORE HIM ALREADY!!! He's been perfectly developed as the cool older guy, who every admired and instantly likes because he's so popular and yet he still took the time to help and stay with Percy, developing the CUTEST older brother relationship. I feel like that going to be really useful in at the end of the series, because just like the book, his...let's just call it "big plot twist," will have much more of an effect on the watchers😁😁
Annabeth: I see what Rick Riordan meant about Leah Sava Jeffries being perfect for Annabeth. Straight from the start she's the scary smart, super dangerous girl. I did notice how Annabeth was much more mysterious in the show, but that works well too, because it makes her someone who everyone-especially Percy is always wondering about, and who everyone respects and fears a little. I also love that they added diversity to the show-at the end of the day the looks don't matter as long as the actor plays out our favourite charecter term properly-and Leah's acing it.
Clarrisse and Dionysus: I know this is getting a little bit long, but I cant end this review without mentioning Clarrisse's acting!! She's SO convincing-playing the bully and that scream in the second episode?! It was so rawwww! Huge respect-she's such a great actor. And of course we love Dionysus, with his ever so famous line PETER JOHNSON IS HERE🤣🤣🤣 exactly how I imagined in the books.
The setting for Camp half-blood was awesome, and again exactly like I imagined it with the satyrs and demigods. So far I'm loving this series and already counting down days until the next one:)))) thanks for bringing such a special book series for me, to life!

This episode has made me realize that we will not be getting the more book accurate show we had been promised. 8 episodes is not enough time to capture the books and it shows. The episode was rushed and missing a lot of details from the books. Some of which I felt were pretty important to the storyline. The second half of the episode could have been a whole episode but it was rushed and skimmed through instead.
The characters also seem a bit off. Their dialogue and interactions with other characters does not match the books portrayal. In some cases you are talked and described to what their relations are, but the interactions don't match what they described.
I would love to see this series continued. They really need to work on pacing and storytelling though.

Disney and Rick Riordan look to be following the Harry Potter template in this Percy Jackson series. It works and this was an enjoyable second episode.
He might have lost his mother and been told that he is a son of a Greek god. Percy Jackson is in Camp Half-Blood and has acquired a reputation after he killed the Minotaur.
However Percy is a demigod whose father has not yet claimed him.
Clarisse La Rue and her friends regard Percy has a freak. They want him to admit that him killing a Minotaur is just lies. However whenever Percy is near water, he has special abilities.
The title of this episode might give an important clue as to just who Percy's father might be. It also unleashes the plot. Percy's quest for the rest of the series.

I really had high hopes for the show. I've read every single book and all the spin offs. So unfortunate because the casting is horrible for every character, none of the kids can act better than Disney channel and the CGI goes from looking decent to atrociously bad like modern marvel projects.
I don't understand how you screw up all these side pieces so bad when they genuinely have a half decent story here. Problem is, you can't focus on the story when it feels like I'm watching little kids act for the first time. You would think they would've tried a little harder but it seems instead they let the first group of people who auditioned get the part.
Listen, I know people like this show, but it really isn't anything special. It feels like CW mixed with Disney. I hope this isn't the future of Percy Jackson. This episode full of these problems and a rushed pace... really didn't help my hopes.
