That Feels Better

This is just stupid fun. The show looks lavish and it's filmed in amazing locations with great actors.

The story and twists along the way were ridiculous and everyone was so unbelievably stupid- I know maybe the point is that these rich stereotypes are supposed to be unlikeable bumbling idiots and but it didn't make for a good watch for me personally.

Tonally it was all over the place, the police officers were just as stupid and ridiculous, the logic just wasn't there. But in this day and age of binge watching, I'd say it was worth a watch to pass the time if you've not got much else going on.

Greer is interviewed by Detectives, who are now convinced that she's the guilty party, thinking she's paid Broderick to murder Merritt. Karen checks her medication and finds that one of her barbiturates has been taken.

It kept me guessing, they certainly made us wait to find out who, what and why, the solution came as a real surprise. You start to see the pieces falling into place as it moves on.

Enough intrigue and suspense to hold your attention, the story has been a good one. I like that The Detectives have been part of the action, they're not the focal point, it makes for a refreshing change.

Thomas really is a first class jerk, he's perhaps the most loathsome character of the lot, Amelia was right in her diagnosis of him, talk about entitled.

I'm looking forward to the second series.

Story about the Winburys, an ultra wealthy, dysfunctional family living in beautiful Nantucket. Mom, "Greer" an extremely successful writer of murder mysteries in a loveless marriage, Dad, "Tag" has affairs, smokes cigars and drinks whiskey to excess. Three son's; middle son "Benji" about to be married, oldest son, "Thomas" narcissistic and steals drugs and youngest son, "Will" an immature 17 year old. They are totally oblivious their lifestyle can't buy them anything they want, including law enforcement. Family and friends are gathered together at the parent's home in Nantucket for the wedding of the middle son. The morning of the wedding a body is discovered floating in the water.

The first 5 episodes of this series I wasn't enjoying it as much as I thought I would but, the final episode totally turned me around and I really enjoyed it. Was looking forward to seeing this series mainly because of the cast, Mom, Nicole Kidman, looking as beautiful as ever led a stellar cast. Dad, Liev Schreiber, was fantastic in the role of Nicole's husband. The remaining cast were superb. Eve Hewson, fiancé "Amelia" and oldest son "Thomas", Jack Reynor, " are particular standouts. Michael Beach as police chief is a talented actor deserving of a better role.

The location made me want to book a trip to the Nantucket. It's the perfect location for this series.

Thought I'd figured out who the killer was early on but, I was so wrong. Episode 6 unveiled all the family secrets and the killer.

The theme song by Meghan Trainor, "Criminals" opens each episode and also features a catchy opening dance sequence.

I rate it 7.5.
