Two episodes in and dont know if i can continuing on.
I am from Hong Kong and work in one of the six licensees in Macao casino business. Stephen Hung owns a hotel (The 13) in Macau but last I heard is its opening has been delayed due to financial problem, and the casino license wasn't secured. Anyways, he is a rather colouful character and he has a pink (with Deborah as the plate) and yellow rolls royce parked outside his office.
Never heard of Tina Leung, the rest of the cast are all boring characters, but i am expecting it so no surprise, the most annoying of the bunch is Dorothy Wang, she is loud, obnoxious, rude and even under tons of make up still looks ugly and honestly, she needs to lose some meat, she is always hungry lol, no amount of designer clothes will make you look good if you are fat and short. Lynn's makeup is so 60s, her dress style horrible and here i thought they are supposed to be fashion forward.
It is a pity with all their money, they could have done something significant or contribute to the betterment of the society, instead they just wasting their life away, the thai princess was so aghast that she needs to work to earn money. Their parents are to blame.
Overall, if there is no better show to watch, this can be entertaining, just dont take the show too seriously.

I haven't watched the original Bling Empire in LA so cannot compare these two. The NYC version was tolerable with some likeable characters and an overall casual, easy-to-watch vibe. There's obviously some wealth-flaunting but honestly a lot of it feels a bit exaggerated (especially Nam) so I wouldn't take it too seriously. Besides the billionaire heiresses most of these people are far from being as wealthy as they claim to be. Dorothy fits well as the frontrunner as she's both funny & outspoken. Tina, Blake, and the couple (Vika/Richard) are all decently entertaining. The only unlikeable characters in my opinion were Lynn and her long-distance husband. The separate storyline of Deborah and her husband also felt completely disjointed from the main series as they only appeared together with the main crew during episode one and they had the least amount of airtime.
Overall, easy short binge that's obviously heavily scripted but still entertains enough when there's nothing else to watch.

Watching this to see how different it is to the others. It's good entertainment when you don't want something serious to watch BUT the characters are a whole new level of precious and spoilt.
Nam: OMG I MIGHT HAVE TO WORK FOR MONEY...my goodness what a tragedy. Poor princess.
All you can really do is blame the parents for raising such lazy selfish narcissistic children who expect everything to be handed to them because it's all they know. But then the parents can't understand why their children behave the way they do ... such a mystery!
Some of the women in this series are either great actresses or absolute idiots. Money may be inherited but intelligence, decency and integrity certainly aren't.

Yes it's about out of touch rich people.... But it's far worse than I expected. Ridiculous and vapid. It is nauseating and disgusting pathetic with a dash of narcissism. If only these incredibly wealthy individuals added something to society rather than being self important snobs with no understanding of reality. In this day and age with such a huge gap between the haves and the have nots... if I was struggling to make ends meet this would be not only ridiculous and anti-intellectual, but also infuriating. Stop giving this %*#^ a platform. I'd be far more interested in a show that makes these people work a job and see how they do.
Richard: "she's mixed of this and that... I want her to see the world the way I see it."
Nobody will blame you if you thought he's talking about a dog breed and not his girlfriend. His narcissism and masculine aggression can easily be wrapped up in his opening lines.
Dorothy may have a typical mean, demanding rich girl's attitude, but she does have valid points sometimes. But if she doesn't want to be confined to her wealth, and don't trust most people, maybe just maybe, hang out with people who are less $$$-minded? But she's too deeply ingrained in that bling I think.
Jett: "are you gay"? Snowflake... masculine. Gosh, how many more conservative boomer stereotypes can be jammed into one person?
Tina: perhaps the most relatable person for people who don't belong to bling. She's the type that, while halfway through ridiculous rich people debauchery realizes that something bad has gone down and flags it
Blake: sigh, find better friends
Lynn: yea, your kid's grown up, spread your wings like you've always wanted. Don't let your jealous spouse clip your wings.
Nam: no comments
Hungs: wax museum characters... came to life? But like not actually alive...
