Raj suggests to Leonard and Howard a weekend of playing Star Wars online while going to Sheldon's apartment. Sheldon agrees when they tell him of the plans but Amy reminds him of his previous agreement with her to spend that time with her at her aunt's 93rd birthday party. When Leonard tells Penny, she's fine with it which disappoints Leonard a little since he sorta wanted her to put somewhat of a fight. Since she's an actress, she obliges. And then Howard tells Bernadette...This seems to be a battle-of-the-sexes-type story told in "The Big Bang Theory"-style with a telling comment by Raj at the end. In summary, this ep-"The Weekend Vortex" was another funny enough ep of "The Big Bang Theory".
How Amy puts up with Sheldon I'll never know. I think it's a testament to the performance Jim Parsons puts in weekly that makes you still tolerate and like him, because in the wrong hands he'd be unbearable as a character.
I liked this episode, I thought it had some nice moments, and you can't deny that the interplay between the cast and their chemistry is great.
I wish they'd spend more time on Raj though. His loneliness has been present in lots of episodes lately, and they sort of gloss over it or not develop it much further.
It would be quite ground-breaking for the show to actually tackle this in more depth.

The boys decide to do a marathon video game weekend. Apparently, when there were no women, they did this before. Now it's complicated. Amy needs to go with Sheldon to the birthday party of his 94 year old aunt. In his typical Sheldon way he simply decides not to go with her. Eventually, Penny and Bernadette get into the act.

- TriviaStanding outside the door is the closest that Howard's mother has ever been to apartment 4A in the entire series. Up until now, only Sheldon's mother, Penny's father and Leonard's mother have been inside. Raj's parents have only seen the apartment through a video call and have not been physically inside.
- ErroresWhile playing SWTOR, Leonard tells Raj the Empire is on his tail, indicating they are playing Republic characters, which is further supported by the view of Raj's laptop. However, the screen shot of Bernadette's character clearly shows she is playing a Sith Inquisitor (armor in SWTOR is specific to both class and faction).
