Die Kälte der Erde

Even after his death, the ultra-evil dad Schürk (Torsten MICHAELIS was so fantastic in the role) still determines the life of his hated son Adam (Daniel STRÄSSER). He has now found the money stolen from his father, but is keeping it a secret from his friend/colleague Leo (Vladimir BURLAKOV).

The current case leads into the hooligan milieu around 1. FC Saarbrücken, which is called something different in this episode. After an arranged fight with derby rivals from Kaiserslautern, a young man lies murdered in front of the emergency room. Strange that there are connections between the emergency doctor (Till BUTTERBACH) and a powerful soccer supporter (Bineta HANSEN). This time we also get to know Commissioner Esther Baumann (Brigitte URHAUSEN) a little better: she is also an enthusiastic fan of 1. FC Saarbrücken. And the obscure Uncle Boris (Stephan BISSMEIER) is also involved again from prison.

The Saarbrücken's problem remains: Since there can only be one episode per year due to costs, a lot has to be squeezed into the 90 minutes. That doesn't necessarily do this episode any good.

Lorris Andre BLAZEJEWSKI and Alexander PRINCE OSEI can also be seen in other roles. When it was first broadcast on January 29, 2023 on the German television station ARD, 7.86 million television viewers wanted to see this TATORT episode. A significant drop compared to the first three episodes!
