Ninth episode of Monsterverse's most awaited series, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is premereired and here's my thoughts on this episode i.e. "Axis Mundi":-
Positives :-
1. Cinematography are very good.
2. Production budget looks very high, and you could feel it in visuals and cinematography.
3. Writing and screenplay is better than previous one.
4. Episode is quite interesting.
5. 1950's storyline is very good and keeps you engaging.
6. Casting performance is great especially Wyatt Russell.
7. This episode give some emotional depth to characters.
Negatives:-
1. May's character is boring as hell. I mean no sense, no motivation, just dragging with the rest of the characters.
2. I'm not feeling any mystery or thrilling moments anymore in storyline, as of in starting episodes.
3. They shifted the focus from Monarch to Lee's personal trauma.
Final Thoughts and Review :-
Overall, "Axis Mundi" is a quite decent episode of this show, setting up the things for finale. But it isn't what I expected.

When I compare how 42 year old Anders Holm as Bill Randa looked in 1962 in episode 8 with 71 year old John Goodman as the same character in 1973 (episode 1)...well that must have been a rough 11 years for poor Bill Randa. I guess losing the people you love most in the world and hunting kaiju alone will run you down.
This episode held my interest more than the last few. A lot less about dull, two dimensional, mopey twenty-somethings wandering from place to place complaining about their personal problems, and a lot more cool monster action and people running for their lives. Some nice surprises and effects.
I wasn't sure I was going to stick with this show until the last episode, but now I just might. Having said that, most of the series has been repetitive and boring as heck.

It's quite surprising how this show keeps finding new ways to remain uninteresting. Here we are after eight boring episodes, and when some characters finally fall into the Hollow Earth, one would expect to see some monsters and the Hollow Earth for at least 15 minutes of screen-time. However, instead, it takes a detour into another boring backstory-this time among other things about how Kentaro's dad met his mom. Who even cares about these characters? Moreover, I think we can anticipate another boring episode about how Hiroshi met Cate's mom also coming pretty soon, keeping true to the usual formula of about 40 minutes of backstories and boring conversations, with only about 2 minutes of some monster that ends in a cliffhanger as always.

- TriviaThe Brambleboar's unique look was envisioned by one of the show's concept artists who came up with the idea of it being covered in antlers, with plant-like growths covering its body. It was a design that struck the team as "cool" and then it was all about taking it to Legendary.
- ErroresYoung Hiro speaks perfect English with the accent of a native American English speaker, yet adult Hiro has the accent of a Japanese person who learned English as a second language.
