It's probably the three body minecraft version fans that rate this anime series low. Are they hoping for a funding for minecraft version sequal? Lol this is an excillent sci-fi on its own. The anime style itself is not really top notch because i don't think they have the funding but the contents and care to details are fantastic. I am never going to have the patience to read the books so i can't judge how well it is adapted. I am judging after watching all the other tv series versions. The minecraft version is cute and nice effort but i will pass. I'll let my little nephew watch it. Looking forward to more from the makers of this show.

This animated adaption of the Liu Cixin's book has a surprisingly low rating. I guess, the reason is that many fans of the original story didn't like that it's got too far from the book. What they probably don't know is that this adaptation is actually a mix of two Liu Cixin's books: 'The Three-Body Problem' ('The Dark Forest' to be exact) and less known 'Ball Lightning'. In my opinion, it was a rather interesting idea to take the best of the two stories and create the one with new twists and a fresh ending. Watching apaptations that are too close to the original books sometimes can be boring because you already know the story. For those who still prefer the original, there is a Chinese TV series that started last year. The animation itself is pretty good, the main characters are well elaborated, and the plot twists are fun to follow.

Really good adaptation quite underrated, excellent music, animation, and the plot is really interesting. If you read the books us even greater and easier to follow the storyline.

It tackles the story just at the end of book one and the beginning of the 2nd one, the scale and complexity of the plot makes animation the perfect showcase for this history.

Consistent voice actors, clean animation, great music bilibili's did quite a good job adapting the books.

Hope there's soon a more accessible platform to watch this series on western media for easy access.

And wish there's more seasons coming because the best part is ahead.
