A warrior named Panji attempts to end his life after avenging his wife's death. However, his suicide attempt is thwarted by the black magic that controls his soul. After wandering aimlessly, Panji encounters an old warrior who asks him to pursue a bandit who has seized a sacred heirloom. It is said that this sacred heirloom can eliminate the power of black magic. Panji accepts the offer and unwittingly finds himself drawn into a long war between two kingdoms.
