Johnny Puff: Secret Mission

Johnny Puff: Secret Mission is an innovative and hilarious movie. It incorporates a lot of different theatrical elements to add to viewer enjoyment.

This film is about the super puffins, specifically Johnny Puff (Johnny Depp) who has to save Taigasville from all the evil shenanigans that Otto von Walrus keeps pulling. Every ten to 15 minutes he tries something new and the super puffins must stop him from destroying the arctic. It is based on the TV series, Puffins.

This film has many unique components -- most noticeable is that none of the characters speak. The only voice heard in the whole film is that of the narrator, Johnny Depp. The rest of the characters simply grunt and make other vocal noises, which allows the disagreements and plot to be up to the interpretation of the viewer. Another aspect of this film is its ever changing plot. Rather than just one big evil scheme throughout the film, Otto von Walrus constantly tries different things and continually gets defeated. It feels like a full TV season of ten to 15 minute episodes put into a fun, entertaining movie. The animation is very impressive; it uses an animation style that is not often used in movies which therefore makes the whole film much more interesting. The villain, Otto von Walrus, is more of a bully than a true evil villain, which makes the character relations even more unique.

The message of this film is to never give up and keep having fun because the world doesn't stop for you.

I give Johnny Puff: Secret Mission 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 8, plus adults. It releases in theaters and streaming on July 12, 2024. By Avalon N., KIDS FIRST!

I have seen tons of animation movies, and I can assure this is the worst I have seen ever. Please, don not waste your money and time watching this thing. I won't even call it a movie, becaus is a series of small chapters glued together with no sense. The characters don't have dialogue, they just make annoying noises with the (Spanish) voice of Johnny Deep trying to explain the nonsense that the expectator is watching. Even my 5 years son told me to leave the theater because he wasn't able to follow the argument. Is a shame os product not even acceptable for beginners in animation or writing. .

This is possibly the worst movie I have ever seen.

I've tried to follow along with the Arctic Dogs / Artic Justice / Polar Squad "franchise" since the release of the original movie 6 years ago, but at this point I think it's just gone too far.

The original movie was okay at best, and the series that followed was a futile attempt at saving the over $40m loss of the movie. It should have ended there, but for some reason it didn't.

Now we have this garbage that has been released by a totally different studio to both the series and the original movie (Making this "franchise" now thrown between 3 studios that have tried to fix it and have somehow plummeted it deeper into the ground).

Not only have all the original voice cast for the movie been replaced by uncredited voice actors that make insufferable grunting noises the entire time they're on screen, but the plot has been altered so far from its source that you would think this isn't even derived from the same movie anymore.

The people that made this movie have blown the Arctic Dogs universe totally out of proportion, and I don't believe they've ever seen the original movie or care about it in the slightest.

I personally believe they saw an opportunity to jump on a failing franchise and try to fix it so they can earn some money, and failing miserably.

Also, where is Johnny Depp?! The narrator is annoying as all hell and sounds nothing like Depp, and the character that Depp supposedly plays makes barely any noise!

I couldn't even make it 10 minutes into the movie before giving up. I don't usually stop watching movies unless they are god awful or practically impossible to watch, which this movie easily ticks both of those boxes at least 10 times.

Don't watch this movie. Even watching the trailer is a waste of time, so just don't bother. It's a failed attempt at saving an already dead franchise.

Piece of advice..... ignore the bad reviews. Those bad reviews are just supporters of Johnny's ex abuser. They post bad reviews on all of his movies and other things as well. They are not ones you should take any kind of advice from...

Now back to the review. Its cute and fun. I highly recommend you give it a chance and not listen to the haters.

Johnny is very creative and unique and creates amazing movies and other art.
