Evil Unearthed is a beautifully put together documentary that delves deep into the chilling history of the infamous Monroe House in Indiana.
With a perfect blend of eerie storytelling, authentic interviews, and archival footage, the film immerses us into the dark lore surrounding one of America's most haunted homes.
I enjoyed how they let the house's disturbing legacy speak for itself through firsthand accounts and expert insights, even combining the findings of other investigators who have had some shocking experiences on the property.
Matts incredible cinematography and sound library helped to amplify the suspense of not knowing what we would see around each corner as they snaked thru the darkness,
of dimly lit corridors & decaying walls that gave me a sense of unease.
I really felt like we were along for the journey while he investigated some of the houses more darker areas that not all investigators that visit get to explore.
This documentary doesn't aim to scare the audience with a bunch of fluff and jump scare tactics, as we so commonly see on paranormal shows now a days.
It aims to uncover the TRUTH behind the legends,
with actual accounts from the people that experienced it firsthand.
Along with Matt putting himself right into the drivers seat and locking down.
Fearlessly crawling thru the bowels of the house so he could get a feel for what it held for himself.
Including some interesting investigation techniques that left me with goosebumps on more than one occasion.
Without wanting to give away parts of the documentary, I'll just say that
It's a spine-tingling reminder that some houses prefer to keep their secrets buried- that is.....until they're unearthed.......
A must watch for both paranormal enthusiasts as well as skeptics.
