Wet Behind the Ears

In general I'm not a fan of independent movies. It is rare that I see an indie movie that touches all the bases.

Have you ever watched a talk show where an actor mentions a scene that was cut in order to keep the movie flowing? Well, no one involved in writing, directing, producing or editing this movie has ever heard of that concept.

I watched this movie on Tubi where the synopsis says, "Two college graduates find themselves at the mercy of a cruel job market and consider a shady business opportunity to solve their financial problems." It is literally 55 minutes into this 90 minute movie before we get an inkling of what that "shady business opportunity" is. A freakin hour of setup! The freakin "French Connection" with it's complex plot didn't have an hour of setup!

The sloooow pace of the movie makes it boring. The plot has a great concept, and it could have been really fun if the setup was half as long and more time was spent on the shenanigans coming from their "shady business opportunity".

Big movie studios have their drawbacks. However this movie would have been better if it was made under the oversight of a major studio. The creators of the movie could have greatly benefited from someone looking over their shoulders and giving them advice.

This movie exemplifies why most indie movies are bad.

This is a sugar sweet film about toughness of living, unemployment,lack of money and living with your parents as a young woman. everybody else has work of a kind that makes them money,just not this girl still wet behind her ears. there are lots of ''hey'' and ''okey'' in the script, thats usually a good sign of low quality script. also acting trying to be positive with a head shake sideways, usually signals ''no'', well that happens alot here, and its why they never reach a or b standard and has to act out in a c-movie like this. the acting are generally passable,but the only truthful one is the main played by Margaret Keane Williams. the technical production are terrible at times soundwise, especially in the ice cream shop, the mike's mustve been hidden in the frozen youghurt.

anyway, its a cosy thing, im sure,cause im just an old grumpy man.......

Nice little picture. The posters are kinda misleading, looks like it'll be some sort DDlg kinda picture.

Sloan Copeland is one the best directors running and. The lead in this picture is great. I acytually waited too long to write this so I don't remember it good. There's a pyramid scheme scene which is pre'y good.
