I had been waiting for this series, so I already had my expectations. In general, it lived up to them. The story didn't feel boring to me; it's very entertaining and even has some funny moments. From the very first episode, it caught my attention so much that I ended up watching the whole thing in one day. Some of the characters' decisions were a bit frustrating, but I think that gave them a realistic touch. It makes you question their choices and understand them, even if they aren't always the right ones. They're young people who, obviously, got trapped and were forced to live together due to an unexpected survival situation. They try to stay rational or let themselves be ruled by fear.
The acting is very good; the cast did a great job. I was especially impressed by Janis's performance, she was my favorite. She did such a great job that I could really connect with her character.
Ning and Non, the siblings, aren't perfect, but they turned out to be my favorite characters in the series. Both the script and the actors managed to portray their sibling relationship very well, despite their differences, they still care for each other. Ning is someone willing to do anything to make sure her brother and mother are okay. Non might seem unnoticed at first, but he was one of those who made a brave decision.
The special effects used for the zombies really surprised me. It looked excellent.
