When the Stars Gossip

I gather from the news accounts on line that GOSSIP is losing audience week by week. And I grant that, so far, at least, it does not compete with the highly popular romantic rollercoasters, such as LOVE NEXT DOOR and QUEEN OF TEARS. Also, the most engaging romantic entanglement thus far dramatized is between two supporting characters on the ground: Lee El and Kim Joo-hun. But cliffhangers there are: plot contrivances to be resolved, love stories that will develop, and a wicked, overbearing patriarch overdue for comeuppance. This series is reported to have been extremely costly to produce, even if, or because, so much of it takes place within the zero-gravity confines of a space station. Even though the orbit of the ratings is degrading and the suits who fronted the $30 million may be weeping bitter tears, I am invested enough in what might attract Lee Min-ho and Kong Hyo-jin to each other, and what might keep them apart, that I plan to hang in there.

Lee Minho, after his top-notch performance in Pachinko as a rich, hot, and ruthless yakuza, makes a stellar comeback to the K-drama industry with the science-fiction rom-com When the Stars Gossip. The drama offers a refreshing change of pace, blending a fast-paced storyline with stunning visuals that are a treat for the eyes.

Known for exploring love in unconventional settings-be it under the sea (The Legend of the Blue Sea) or in a parallel universe (The King: Eternal Monarch)-Lee Minho takes romance to new heights, quite literally, as he searches for love in space this time. His impeccable comedic timing in this drama will leave you in stitches, proving once again why he's called the Romance King.

From the very first episode, When the Stars Gossip hooks viewers with its unique premise, captivating storyline, and Minho's undeniable charm. It's a must-watch for fans of romance, comedy, and science fiction!

The space scenario is very broad for the incredible love intersections of the characters, including the rats and flies. The scenarios, well-made CGI and the emotional, social, historical and professional structures of the characters, within an often fun relational-affective intertwining; make up a robust love drama that shows the human experience from its conception as a morula, to its apogee as a fully active human being and creates the vortex of this sensational K-Drama. Science tries, but love accomplishes: the miracle of life. Scientists build theories and equate experiments to decipher the mysteries, but life simply continues to bring pairs together in order to be eternally active in its mysteries.

Actor Lee Min-ho, what kind of person are you?? How perfectionist you are! OMG, I'm so proud of you, how from time to time you always choose amazing projects. After falling in love with the super excellent "Pachinko", I can't help myself from two timing this feeling because I'm falling in love like crazy with this new one.. the feeling of "Je t'aime passionnement a la folie".

Just like "Pachinko" that has unique opening, I also like the fresh opening of "When the Stars Gossip".

It's a rare series that we can't blink our eyes while watching it or we want to repeat some scenes we might not watch carefully because each scene is so well made.

It's the combination of delicate artistic surprises.. so beautiful like we were in an art exhibition feeling, and the promising intriguing story in which each character has their own sides of lives to understand and psychological layers to study. It's promising because I like to study the psychological layers of the characters while connecting them to the thread of their life backgrounds.

I believe it's gonna be a rich experience following this series to the end. I have a positive feeling it's a masterpiece.

The show brings a refreshing new concept to the screen, and the acting done by Lee Min Ho is nothing short of exceptional. Although the storyline could have delved deeper into mystery, the stellar performances by the entire cast manage to keep the viewers hooked throughout. Lee Min Ho's portrayal is particularly captivating, and it leaves me eagerly anticipating the day we get to see him in a full-time medical drama as a doctor.

Additionally, the lead actress who played Eve deserves special mention for her remarkable acting skills. Her performance is powerful and leaves a lasting impression. Overall, despite minor narrative gaps, the show is engaging and a must-watch for fans of strong performances.
