Omelette

A lot of anticipation that this episode builds and a lot of stakes that have come with it. This is essentially the 'calm before the storm' but this episode shows a little conflict within itself. With this episode and the previous one, everybody has come back to the restaurant with their newfound experiences but it feels like there is an insane amount of doubt that is wandering over the crew.

Whether it'd be from the state of other restaurants or outside factors such as their families or relationships, the preparation for the opening hasn't come without its problems but to me it comes down to the individuals that make the restaurant what it is and I'm glad that it was the main focus for this season because it does bring in that sense of family that there trying to showcase.

OH man.. that omelette lokkede so delicious! This was just a great scene of someone making some food that was so delicioys that it felt magical and you just HAD to try it! This is something this season has done brilliantly! Creating a dish that visualy brought you to a state of hunger!

Other than that our characters are just at a great place! Everyone knows their place and the development over the season since season one has just been astounding! Most notably the development of Richie and Carmen just hit the feels!

Loved Carmens scene with Sydney as it shows how far he has come!

Now I am just excited for the opening!

Ok Sydney's Omelet looked incredible, Was it chivied cream cheese she added? I would like to attempt to make this.. Also the crumpled chips is just Genius.. I might have to use a little less butter but man did it look good..

Also I need about 353 more characters to submit this so I'll just add that I really enjoy the Team aspect of this show this season. Everyone so far has seen the goal and has attempted to get to it. I'm not sure where the Muse aspect of Carmen's relationship will go but being single minded to a goal is a really tough road to navigate. Ok only 22 more Characters. Also Nat is such a Doll but still haven't figured out how she has like a 30 year old kid.

Always the best scenes are really the ones with two people just talking to each other, this time under the table.

But what about that omelette? So just watch her - she separated three eggs and only used the yolks. I think she had a medium-sized pan on a medium heat, with a good knob of butter, and when it was hot, she added the beaten-up eggs (I like a pinch of salt in mine) and just swirled them round briefly, and let them cook for a short time, till the omelette was just cooked, still slightly runny on top, not overcooked, not a hint of brown.

Then she added a roll of Boursin. In the UK it doesn't come in a tube, and it's Garlic and Herbs. Get it out of the fridge beforehand and let it come to room temperature, and mould it into a roll (I used about a third of a pack). Place it on the omelette, immediately roll it up, dish it up onto a heated plate, and crumble a few crisps over it.

No guarantees of success if you try it, but that's how I made mine and it was very good indeed.
