Don't get me wrong. The first movie was great but it's not something I'd watch again. Number two I definitely would rewatch. Turning Megan into a protagonist was the best thing they could do. There's only so far she could have gone as a villian (like terminator and chucky) but making her an anti hero like Venom has made her a lot more likeable. Now she has a personality, she's funny and you root for her to win. I was super impressed with the second movie and I actually think the direction they took it in made it 10x better than the first one. Not many movies can pull off a sequel that ends up being just as good or better than the first installment. As long as they do it right, I'd watch another couple of movies with her in it! Very entertaining.
Three years ago, it became a huge hit both financially and in terms of audience reception. There was no chance that this reception wouldn't lead to a sequel, and now, under the direction of the same director, we're back with a much-needed diversion, but leaving aside the horror to immerse ourselves in a fully accomplished action-comedy thriller.
Gerard Johnstone returns to direct with his original cast: Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Brian Jordan Alvarez, and Jen Van Epps. They're joined by an impeccable Ivanna Sakhno as the film's villain. The film works well, with a B-movie-style opening, before moving into a film that lets loose and makes the most of its budget, transforming into a true action odyssey with strange but effective comedy gags.
With a script that capitalizes on the elements that worked in the first installment and introduces some new touches that are well-tuned at certain moments in the film. However, we also find less ingenuity when it comes to confronting its premise and its message to convey the advancement of AI. It's a good sequel, with truly accomplished moments that make this second installment a much more delirious pastime than its original. The desire to make it something different is evident, and it successfully achieves that, seeking to win over a wider audience this time around.
Megan's new adventure ends up being a good piece of entertainment that truly deserves its viewing. It delivers exactly what it's meant to, without taking its aspects too seriously, and plays with nuances to establish a path that ultimately cements this doll as a new pop culture figure. This mission takes shape thanks to the relatability Megan conveys in her on-screen moments.
A fun, fulfilling, and entertaining film. A sequel that largely deviates from the original's path to establish a new franchise that appreciates the stupidity of its mission and embraces it with contagious joy, once again winning viewers' affection.

First of all, I have to admit I'm a fan of the 1st movie and when they first announced that they were making a sequel, I was super excited about it. So, when I first watched the official teaser of the movie I liked it, even though I had mixed feelings about it. Eventually, it was a nice sequel, but I'm not sure if enjoyed it the same as I did with the original movie. The movie synopsis was very interesting, mysterious and kinda different than the previous movie. Unfortunately, the storyline wasn't as well-written as the first movie and it was different than the previous one. The main characters were still kinda interesting, well-developed and likeable. The casting choices were nice and their performances were descent. Sadly, this movie wasn't as scary as the previous movie and the tone of this movie was comedic. Regarding the killcount of the movie, it wasn't bloody, at all and only some kills were kinda nice. In my opinion, the first movie's killcount was way better and the death scenes were far more brutal. At least, it was a very intense movie, action-filled and the fight scenes were great. The opening scene was predictable, fast-paced and very promising. The ending was kinda predictable and it was just nice. In my opinion, the plot twist was kinda unpredictable, but it wasn't really shocking and I'm not really a fan of it. Moreover, the cinematography and the score of the movie were both very well done and the CGI effects were great. Overall, "M3GAN 2.0" was just a nice sequel, adventurous and kinda funny sometimes, but it wasn't scary, at all! So, I would probably recommend it to my friends, but I think the fans of the 1st movie might not like it.
Coming off the success of the original, this sequel seemingly shaped the new tonal direction off of the responses to the cultural marketing of its predecessor. While the first M3GAN calls horror its home, it's hardly that scary and also lacking in body counts and often suspense. This movie doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't, and instead leans into the action and humor so easily available to such a campy, Y2K/WarGames/Terminator 2 style film. The fight sequences were gorgeous, there were more kills than the original, and I still found myself laughing harder than I have in a long while at a screening. The reprisal roles are as solid as ever, and each new cast member fills their roles perfectly without any character feeling redundant or unimportant. Ultimately and obviously subjectively, I can't offer up a 10/10 due to my disappointment at this not containing more horror elements. That being said, as a mostly horror fanatic, this was such a fun experience and still checked so many of my typical movie-going boxes.
Side note: I won't speak at all about any of the tech jargon and tropes because I truly Do Not Care about their place in this movie. I like to imagine most movies as universes outside of our own, and I'm perfectly content hearing pseudo-Trekian nonsense interspersed throughout dialogue because like... it's fun. It isn't overly cyberpunk or techno-fascist "in your face"ism, it's camp and fun. Well worth a watch of your own IMO.

Saw this today and I gotta admit its not that bad, this sequel is pretty funny ,entertaining, the story isn't bad but it's kinda predictable, the action was pretty good and even for a movie that was advertised for being an action movie it has its horror scenes, but this can be a slow burn sometimes but its just entertaining campy fun and thats kinda peak cinema. The acting is good, there's fun bloody scenes some people might not enjoy but I did, I gotta admit some scenes felt a bit rushed like towards the end but either way ts is still a fun time and its a watch in theaters ts is an 8 or 7/10.
