7 days. 7 long days of waiting. Oh dear, thank god the wait is over!

I say it on this place every week again: Vinland Saga is epic! Every week we get something new like new characters, plot twists or like last week we get old characters back. It is not inportant what it is, because every single week it is brilliant!

In todays episode we not only get the second son of the master introduced to us, but also character development of the master. In the first episodes he was portrayed as a great, fearless and graceful leader, now with the arrival of his stormish and fightlusting son Thorgil we see the real master. And without spoilering the end of the episode, he is defintely not the master we saw until now. The plottwist in the end was amazing and opens another door the story could go through.

Like every week I am electrified by this brilliance from the outstanding intro, over the phenomenal episode to the great outro, Vinland Saga is not just anymore a show to watch weekly it is an important part of my life.

With this said please let the next 7 days past quickly.

This season has become way too much about farming. It's slow and drawn out for no reason. Part of this episode is even thorfinn and einar watching grass grow.

We're already almost a third of the way through the season, and there's almost no "viking" aspect to show for it. Where's all the duels, brutal combat, and military strategy from the first season?

It might have been easier to write if there weren't so many new characters. You could argue that's what makes Vinland Saga great, but... They could've easily fit what's already happened in three or four episodes.

There's really not much to look forward to since the episodes are becoming more of the same- farming and a closer look at slavery in medieval England.

I like Ketil as a guy. I say this as this episode fully acknowledges the difficulty of being a warrior and having bravery as a man.

Obviously, while I can't go to in-depth about it, the plot of this episode was great. We were introduced to a few new characters, and of course we maintain the old ones still.

I say this about every episode, but I love how Thorfinn and Einar complement each other so well as characters. I really feel like the 2 work and feel quite real. They're funny and well matched. I hope they stay together for a while in the show as they have value in each other's development as people.

I think the thing I really picked up on this episode was how nice the art is, especially in the background. The colouring of the vibrant leaves and plains of grass is so calming and wondrous just to admire, and I think it really sets the scene of the show.

There's not much I can say about this episode besides these small observations, but overall it was strong.
