For the Love That Was Lost

In the past I have praised this show for quite everything. One of the best character developments I have seen in my life, the best animation possible, brilliant writing, great intro and outro, you name it!

But today they topped themselves with the soundtrack. I mentioned the great intro and outro, both absolutely brilliant and fitting to the shows plot. But the music in the episode never was as good as today. It created atmosphere, tension and emotion. It was just perfect! And in the end I got goosebumps!!!

So after praising the great soundtrack I wanna loose some words about the story. Right from the beginning I guessed, that we get to see Thorfinn and Einar protect the farm from an invading force. Now it looks like this wish is coming true with Canute planning to attack Ketil's farm after trying to arrest them. This is how they reconnect the two main characters Thorfinn and Canute and I love it. It is all set for a great season finale, when they hopefully meet again next week.

So with this said, there is no doubt this show is standing out even 12 (!) weeks after the premiere of season 2 released. This is smoething very few shows managed to do! They earned my respect and have my loyalty, that's for sure!

An incredible visual section, drama, action, comedy. A simple animation that is pleasing to the eye that together with the background landscapes looks simply perfect, the action scenes look very incredible and very exciting but not very fluid, however it should be noted that it is a Sheinen and not a Shounen for what is acceptable. At the end of the episode, it leaves us in expectation of the long-awaited reunion of Leif and Thorfinn, and the incredible character development that Canuto has had is highlighted and his intentions have been made clear. One of the best chapters of this entire season 9.9/10.

When this show is good it is really good! It is slow sometimes but suddenly you get episodes like this, where something incredible or crazy happens that just grabs your attention!

This episode shows us what kind of person Thorgill is and the extend of his skills and power! The episode suddenly got very brutal and bloody! Great fight that stands as one of the more memorable and the best of this season! This gave us a taste of that season 1 action and duels! Animation was also great!

I am very excited for what this episode teases will happen later on! This will have consequences and shape character arcs! Can not wait!

Literally a deep, bloody, artistic visual masterpiece that I can only describe with the word 10/10 .. The anime has reached another level of greatness .. The events, the political projections, the rhythm and the escalation of episodes and characters .. Everything is perfect .. For a moment I forgot that this is an anime from the ground up because it skipped the anime stage. It has reached a different level.. The directing, the animation, the power in the narration, the blood and the memories are just a masterpiece.. In every episode, I fall in love with this anime more because it depicted the culture of the Vikings in a great Japanese language.
