After the last episode ended with a huge cliffhanger we now get more of Galdar, Arnheid's husband and even more inportant Einar's reaction.

I thought he would be mad and want to kill him, considering he now has a competitor in case of winning Arnheid's heart, but he does the opposite by wanting to rescue him. I think that makes sense because he just wants the best for Arnheid and she seems to care for Galdar. After that we get flashbacks from Arnheid's and the Granps past and oh man, that was great. The metaphor of the storm is greatly used here. Both, Ketil and Arnheid lost their beloved because of violental conflicts. She says to Einar that he has to avoid the storm, of course maning that he wants to rescue Galdar which can only be done with violence.

I liked this metaphore a lot, because it works really well.

So this week's episode was a bit slower than last week's but that's not a problem because it is still very entertaining.

This was yet another great episode that delves deeper into the character of Arnheid as well as her backstory! Once again it is an emotional and real portrail of this world! Her tragic fate was common for people back then! We have even seen that back in season 1, where innocent civilians were the greatest victims!

There were one particular scene that gave me chills! Amazing storytelling and a reminder of what this world does to you! Its all about not loosing yourself and instead decide what is best for yourself!

The soundtrack was also very good! Great use of Piano that gave of a sad and tragic vibe.. much like the episode!

As in we're right back to a very slow build-up. I don't understand. This anime does so well sometimes by explaining backstory as the action is happening, but this season has been an incredibly long torture of waiting for something interesting to happen.

I actually enjoy dramas a lot, so I don't know if I'm maybe mostly disappointed by an expectation that the anime would stay consistent to its original genre. The dialogue is so pretentious I feel poisoned. Vinland saga really has no shame. Felt really hopeful by the threat of Canute's army coming, but this constant exposition is slowly killing me.

I wish dearly in my heart that mappa removes the long pauses in dialogue or shortens it down.

Just please. Stop. I know you can make good episodes. I've seen you do it before.
