Sky Force is based on an incident that happened during India's first airstrike on Pakistan in 1965 that a very few people know, atleast I didn't.

Without a doubt, everyone should watch this film. Also, it's a sincere, to the point, no nonsense film. The story is about Veer Pahariya's character while Akshay Kumar is the group captain who investigates what happened with him.

The actors are all good, Akshay as the lead is superb, Sharad Kelkar also has an important part, Veer is decent, Nimrat is crisp, Sara is a little off.

The scenes of the airstrike and the drills have been shot really well. The songs are decent, nothing dramatic.

The only part that doesn't work for me are the emotional scenes. I didn't feel much connected, especially with Sara in them.

Overall, this is a real story that is worth knowing about. In a chaos of mass entertainers that solely depend on stars and spice, this film stands on its story and is a must watch!!

Sky Force - A Film That Surprised Me

I'm the kind of person who watches every trailer and forms an idea about how the film might perform, both commercially and critically. Most of the time, my predictions are spot on. However, Sky Force is one of the rare films that proved me wrong, especially from a critical perspective.

While I may still be correct about its commercial success, my critical view turned out to be completely different. The film is superb. The screenplay is highly engaging and keeps you hooked throughout.

After watching the trailer, I thought it would be a cheap knockoff of Fighter (a film I found very ordinary). I assumed it would be another mediocre addition to Akshay Kumar's filmography. But to my surprise, Sky Force turned out to be one of his finest films. It's not just another India-Pakistan war movie; it brings a unique perspective and is executed with finesse.

What didn't work: The songs in the first half felt unnecessary and broke the flow of the narrative. Additionally, the overuse of slow-motion sequences, especially in the first half, felt repetitive and diluted their impact. Slow motion should be used sparingly to create a stronger emotional or dramatic effect.

Verdict: Sky Force is a must-watch and stands tall as a remarkable film in its genre. Don't let the trailer mislead you-it's an experience worth having.

I don't know why I didn't watch Sky Force sooner, and I genuinely regret it. This movie is surprisingly good, a truly well made film that deserved far more attention than it received. I can't help but blame the marketing team for not doing enough to create the buzz this film so clearly merited.

Akshay Kumar delivers a great performance, embodying his character with conviction. The portrayal of the then era is fantastic, meticulously recreating the atmosphere and details, especially the iconic planes that are central to the story. The aerial sorties and dogfights are particularly thrilling and well choreographed, a genuine treat to watch. By the end, the emotional impact of the film truly hit me.

Sky Force is a highly recommended watch, especially for those who appreciate war dramas and well crafted cinematic experiences. Don't make the same mistake I did by waiting, give this one a watch.

Akshay Kumar delivers a commendable performance, shining in both emotional moments and action sequences. He anchors the film with his experience and intensity. Veer Pahariya, making his debut, emerges as the surprise package of the movie. He delivered impressive performance. On the downside, Sara Ali Khan is underutilized. Her character lacks depth, and her chemistry with Pahariya doesn't quite spark. Nimrat Kaur provides a good supporting performance. With limited screentime, Manish Choudhary & Sharad Kelkar delivers a standout performance.

The cinematography is a visual treat, capturing air combat sequences with precision and grandeur. The aerial choreography is well-executed. The background score is effective in heightening tension, though Tanishk Bagchi's music is a mixed bag. While the song "Maaye resonates emotionally, the rest of the soundtrack fails to leave a lasting impression.

For those looking for a Republic Day watch with a blend of war history, action, and heartfelt moments, Sky Force is a decent pick that ends on a high, uplifting note. The film pays a moving homage to the bravery and sacrifices of Indian Air Force officers.

Movie starts with a good note. You will enjoy the screenplay. No distractions from the main story . Subtle song. Scenes were properly sequenced. No sugar coating done on the story to make it typical bollywood masala .

Situations present in the movie can be witnessed in history books and various edu videos which are self explained. Overall experience is very good.

Cinematography was up to the mark.. The frames are very well catchy . It was 2hrs mix bag of action emotions and thrill. Not a single dull moment in that. The film ended where it should.

I thought in my opinion they could have had shown the American inquiry over their star fighter failure. Which is indeed a great chapter in the Indian war history.
