Great Film!
The film was incredible. They casted the actors very well and the scenery was great. I enjoyed how they filmed at different locations and were creative with the vampires in the mid-1800's. It was full of lots of twists and turns there were times when you thought one thing and then another thing would occur great suspense lots of gore, but not bad gore.
I enjoy the beginning the middle and the end lots of great scenery I like the costumes that they wore. I like the guns that they shot. I like the crows in the air. I liked the camps that they visited. I liked the Native American girl. I liked the confederate guy from House of 1000 corpses and I would highly recommend anybody watch this movie because it is awesome.

I finished it
It took some effort but I finished this movie. It's low budget and simple but came with a big surprise midway. I can't recommend it but I can say you won't regret it if you're into fictional history. If this movie had a more budget it would've had more fans. This is definitely soft history. Some of the actors are actually amazingly good.
It's a one time watch.
No great plot twists, run of the mill, barely could call it horror really. The acting is passable for low budget.
Most of the characters are just cannon fodder. You get a tiny bit of backstory on the lead but that's about it.
What they'd count as a twist you can see coming a mile away. Being as the actor is barely in it up till that point.
If you're on an hour and 17 minute flight and have nothing else to watch. This might just be up your alley.

Watchable Western horror...
Never having heard about the 2025 movie "Resurrection Road" prior to stumbling upon it, I still opted to watch it as it was a movie that I hadn't already seen. But I have to admit that I harbored no expectations to the movie as I had recently sat through a rather atrocious Civil War themed movie named "Storm Over Georgia".
The storyline was okay. It wasn't exactly a particularly outstanding foray into the world of Western horror, but it proved to be enjoyable enough for what it turned out to be.
There were three familiar faces on the cast list for me, and that was Michael Madsen, Okea Eme-Akwari and Jeff Daniel Phillips. The acting performances in the movie were generally good.
The costumes and props in the movie were good, and definitely added to the overall enjoyment of the movie. The scene with the big cannons was pretty laughable, it was terrible CGI that looked like untextured graphics from a 1990s computer game.
Watchable for what it was, but hardly a movie that warrants more than a single viewing.
My rating of writer and director Ashley Cahill's 2025 movie "Resurrection Road" lands on a five out of ten stars.

Rest In Peace Michael Madsen
Resurrection Road was a good film, First off, I appreciate the use of squibs and actual (blank) gunfire whenever they could be used. It looks so much better than a lot of the CGI gunfire and blood splatter I see in the majority of movies that appear to have have a similarly low budget. There is CGI in the movie, and some of it looks very cheesy (big explosions, some of the exterior and interior locations, etc.), but it looks like practical effects were used whenever possible. That makes a huge positive difference. I also enjoyed the story. Simple enough, straightforward, and surprisingly brutal. There's a scene early on that I didn't expect to have as much of an impact as it does. It set the tone for the rest of the movie extremely well. Believable characterizations that are mostly serious, but with some effectively fun lines sprinkled throughout. When I heard that Michael Madsen passed on July 3rd I was shocked and surprised that this is his final role of the film of 2025. Man I was deeply loved with his films thanks to Quentin Tarantino who'd inspired Madsen's role, His quote from a film: "If you're gonna compare a hanzo sword, you compare it to every other sword that wasen't made... by Hattori Hanzo" and his quote to be remembered by: " My career has been very strange. My career is like a heart monitor. I get involved in a good project now and then to keep things going. And then I make things that I work on that I hope are going to be good so I can make a living and keep a roof over the heads of those little monsters I have in my house." We will miss you Michael Madsen (1957/2025)
