Sorgavaasal , that's the point from where debutant director Siddharth Vishwanath sees and shares his view of how a hell would look like . And trust me the hell is very cruel , rugged , bloodshed and what not . People there are quite tough and brutal . While RJ Balaji is the lead, it was Selva Raghavan who truly stole the show. This classic director really stepped up his acting game, considering he's the one who brought Pudhupettai to life. He knows exactly what it takes to make these kinds of movies. Loved his hairdo , sure shot he got that mad swag . He completely outshone everyone with his exceptional acting skills. Then comes RJ Balaji , surprisingly he was surpassing not just mine but everyone's expectation . Quite a unique and matured acting . This movie really elevated his acting career to new heights. Sharafudeen from Mollywood gives a rock solid performance. And there is Karunaas, Balaji Sakthivel, Natty , Saniya Iyappan and somemore fills the screenspace . The movie is definitely packed with action, but it's not overly gory. Christo Xavier, the talented composer from Mollywood, has delivered a fantastic BGM. Anirudh's voice adds a special touch to one of the songs, and it's absolutely incredible. The movie has a great energy that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Cinematography and particularly the movie tone is perfect . The movie maintained its momentum throughout and was quite interesting. Watch it in theatre with great acoustics. I loved it in palazzo . Not a family movie and a strict no to kids . If you're a fan of Vada Chennai, you'll probably enjoy this movie too .

This movie has best screen play and strong story plot. Acting wise RJ balaji did very well. Natti is came as a judge and did well his job as well as better. Selvaragavan looks good. Karunas tried different negative roll. The main character of sorgavaasal is karunas. The two lines of karunas dialogue is full movie story. Sharafudeen act as sunil kumar. The SP of prison, little bit ego character. In this movie has lot of characters, also that is the need of story. The sorgavaasal will be best in RJ balaji's carrier. BGM is good. SFX and VFX Looks better. Totally SORGAVAASAL top of notch in November 2024...

The film felt realistic, and the making was great. It's inspired from an event happened in the late 90s. I don't want to mention it here, as it can be a spoiler. It's good to see R. J Balaji in a serious role like this. There is good solid supporting actors from Mollywood to support him in this venture and I was surprised when I saw Sharaffudhin and Hakkim Shah on the screen.

The film is a bit slow-paced but it doesn't demand fast-forwarding due to reasons like- compelling screenplay, storyline which keeps the audience 100 percent on the screen, focussing on the dialogues of all the characters. Selvaraghavan also plays an important role in this film.

Ravi Raghavendra, known for his roles in Doordarshan dramas and as music director Anirudh's father, delivers a commendable performance that complements the rest of the cast.

The set design of Sorgavaasal is visually striking, capturing the gritty prison atmosphere. Prince Anderson's camera work brilliantly highlights the raw emotional tones, with precise and impactful framing that keeps the viewer engaged.

Anirudh is a prominent music director in Tamil cinema, and similarly, Christo Xavier is establishing himself as a key figure in Malayalam cinema. In Sorgavaasal, he created an exceptional background score (BGM) that elevates the film's intense atmosphere. Anirudh's performance of "The End" song is one of the highlights of the movie.

The non-linear screenplay by Sidharth, Tamizh Prabha, and Ashwin Ravichandran is captivating, with seamless editing that keeps the pacing tight. The first half builds slowly, but the second half shifts into a fast-paced, racy thriller.

The climax may resonate more with certain audiences.
