I just can't get on board with this guy as Kirk. HIS portrayal of him seems off.

I know he is young in his starfleet career but im expecting more of a guy more sure of himself and confident. It's like they didnt try and find someone that looks like willam shatner. He looks so much like Jim Carrey..
