Love KK and Mr Shorey as actors. Infact love every actor that appeared in this series, even the ones who did cameo roles were brilliant. The story sucks you in and keeps improving in even episode. Thr mystery remains till end and the twists and brilliant and almost unpredictable even for a mystery crime savant like me who has read every Agatha Christie book more than a few times. The series is very atmospheric, easy gentle paced (still thrilling) and reminiscent of olden golden days of Byomkesh Bakshi. The best part was there was no political, woke or religious agenda pushed at you, which is refreshing in this day and age. The music is SUBLIME, just like this series and we, the audience want MORE of it please.

Amazing treat for sherlock fans. If you are watching this after being a fan of elementary then you wont be disappointed. Kay Kay Menon sir and Ranvir sir are an absolute delight. The direction is fantastic and background score is good.

The suspense buildup is good. It is the first time that detective series of such good quality has been made. The character of sherlock and watson has been accurately depicted with such simplicity. It has been beyond my expectation. With no much hindering about it has short episodes and hits onto the point. All the supporting characters have been played flawlessly. The character of irene played as iravaty has been magnetic too. I am eagerly waiting for season 2.

I have yet to watch the original BBC Sherlock Holmes story on which this Indian adaptation is based; therefore, I would humbly refrain from drawing any sort of comparison here.

Although I'll gladly admit I have taken a liking to the cast selection here. Kay Kay Menon as Sherlock, aka Shekhar, offbeat yet a genius persona was spot on. We all know he's a capable actor, and he did perform to his merits here.

The same remark applies for Ranbir Shorey too for he had gelled well as Shekhar's witty and inquisitive partner in investigation.

As for the format, whilst the first four episodes are treated as mini stories, with different type of crimes and their varying resolutions, last two acted as critical junctures to Shekhar's mysterious handlings in the past which led him right into a bigger conspiracy.

Suffice to say, I liked the concluding episodes better, primarily because they had more depth and material to show for.

Rohan Sippy and Srijit Mukherjee's direction in Shekhar Home is a perfect blend of suspense and humor. They've created a unique atmosphere that feels both tense and playful, making the series a joy to watch. The attention to detail in the setting and character development is impressive, and their ability to balance multiple storylines without losing focus is a testament to their skill. Kay Kay Menon ! I am his fan so no words to describe his acting. In the begining you may find it boring or stereotype but my friend wait till the end there are many surprises. I was not happy with the name but it was justified so well. Overall everything works so well in this series. Direction, acting and most important the series is based out in 90s and they have shown us with very low budget you can create such a wonderful series.

I would love to watch Menon again in such roles and I hope BBC will continue to produce another part of its there.

Lastly, if you love crime solving series, this is for you. Please don't compare with Benedict's Sherlock home and enjoy over Indian espionage Mr. Menon.
