It was a great finale, the things that were wrapped up were done very well and not rushed at all. I was worried that there would be too much going in this episode but fortunately things were paced very well and nothing got half-baked.
I'm giving it a 9 though because for a season finale it left too much up in the air, it was juggling too much that the beginning of season 3 could've introduced instead. Either that or, this show would easily benefit from having 10-episode seasons, or at least this one.
The edging continues it seems, so with this finale I will have to shelf it in the back of my mind until an official release date is announced for season 3 (to prevent myself from going insane).

I honestly expected much more considering the first season came out 3 years ago. I didn't like the decision of splitting this season into two parts but I feel like they could have just fit everything we got so far into the first four episodes and then give us something that actually moves the story further, something that excites us. Instead what we have is a depressed Mark, just as we left him a season ago, and less and less of Omniman who made me love the show in the first place. Guess I'll just skip to the comics because I'm not planning to wait for another 3 years just to get a cliffhanger season like this. I actually feel sad writing this review but this season killed the hype for me.
To me, this is the second best episode of the series, right behind the season 1 finale. The first third is excellent with finally having to deal with the big baddie. The second third, if you ask me, is equally as excellent with a lot of trauma and it shows that Invincible, similarly to Bojack Horseman is willing to have it's big climatic events come first, with some cooldown coming after. It's genuinely excellent. I'm glad this episode only chooses around three-ish plotlines to bring back. But seriously, what is the mummy plotline from the beginning of season 1 doing here. It's kind of innapropriate in an otherwise AIR TIGHT episode.
This final episode was generally satisfying and nearly earned itself a 9 out of 10 from me, but its placement as the season finale held it back. We witnessed some much-needed character development for Mark, especially after his continual blunders as a kid since the show's beginning. However, it felt like this episode would have been better suited mid-season, perhaps around episode 5 or 6. Throughout season 2, the pacing has been uneven-certain episodes rushed to cover key plot points, while others lingered too long on side stories involving secondary characters. Additionally, the multitude of villains without a clear primary antagonist made the narrative seem scattered. The slow pacing was further exacerbated by the mid-season break, which was a tough pill to swallow after a three-year wait.
This episode is objectively an amazing Season Finale, with fantastic animation, cool action, great emotional moments, and amazing writing. I will admit, though, that it did leave me rather unsatisfied. They didn't do nearly as much with the concept of the Multiverse as they could've, it wasn't as jaw-dropping as the finale of Season 1, and didn't feature *that* character that I know a lot of comic fans (myself included) were very excited to see
It is a fantastic episode and sets-up a great Season 3, but there's a lot that could've been done way better!
Here's to hoping that Season 3 is worth the wait!

- TriviaOne of the dimensions Invincible visits appears to be that of The Walking Dead (2010). "Invincible" co-creator Robert Kirkman was also the co-creator of "The Walking Dead".
- ErroresThere is blood on Mark's back that appears and disappears at random points.

Eve: If you ever need a shoulder, I... I've got two.
Mark Grayson: Yeah. I know.
