Seeds of Shadow

I wanted to see Mat and Perrin continue to be developed after a poor showing in the previous seasons, and we are finally seeing it! Its great.

My one complaint with this season, same with others, is the amount of time we spending with none important characters like Maksim. I like him as a character and think the actor does a great job with him, but when you have a huge cast of important characters to develop, you shouldnt spend to much time on "side" characters.

I am also getting anxious we won't see Tam return this season even though hes been mentioned.

But was great to meet Faile and see Lord Luc! The Two Rivers story line was one of my favourites in the book and I can't wait to see how they handle it in the show.

I wrote a hopeful S3E1 review, gave it a high rating despite its issues, only because it seemed like the TV show is course correcting towards the Book story. There was hope.

After watching the next 2 episodes, all hope is now lost. The show isn't bad, but there is no chance of this becoming an adaptation of our beloved Wheel of Time anymore. This is at best fan fiction loosely inspired by WOT. The plot lines are all over the place, all logic falls to pieces if you think about it for more than 10 seconds. The show prioritises melodrama & visuals over story

I thought they were rushing through 1st episode so as to get everything back to where it is in the books, so that they can spend time on giving us Mat meeting Snakes & Foxes and Rand at Rhuidean. No. It was so that we can have more absolutely useless scenes of Liandrin crying over some white painted circles

I will watch till Rand at Rhuidean, after that I'm finally done with this series. So disappointing. What a waste of what is the best fantasy story I have ever read.

TV writing is hard, and fantasy writing is even harder, but somehow, against all odds, Rafe Judkins and his incredible crew managed to assemble the perfect team at exactly the right time.

What they've created is nothing short of a masterful production, where every element-from script to costume, from set design to soundtrack-works in perfect harmony to bring this world to life.

Special recognition must be given to the extraordinary talents of composer Lorne Balfe, whose music elevates every scene, and costume designer Sharon Gilham, whose stunning work immerses us completely.

Fantasy is back. Or should I say- it is Reborn.

The series is going from strength to strength. But please do not entertain the idea of reading the books. It is an incredibly boring and unimaginative read... I mean I read 40 pages and decided to add the collection I bought on amazon to start my barbecue.

How these film producers managed to create this absolute masterpiece from the source material probably requires the channeling power of the dragon himself.

So if you thinking of watching this series. Please ignore the ghouls who read the books who drop 1 star reviews. You gotta feel sorry for them for having pushed through as far as they did!

These writers truly know how to dive deeply into characters, in a way that the book wasn't able to do. These villains are written so well and come across as complex, compelling, and memorable. The introduction of the additional Forsaken, or Chosen, was handled well and adds to how horrifying it is to have them all loose. Concepts from the book were added in beautifully and really expand the stakes of the shadow taking over all aspects of The Wheel of Time World. As our characters explore new and old places in this episode, each of them is given space to explore the challenges that they face in a complex world. Great episode and I can't wait to see more!!
