The Idea

The Idea is a very nice short about a young woman, an artist who wakes up ready to begin a new day of drawing. From there, the film leaves plenty of room for interpretation. The story can be read in at least two ways: as someone struggling with creative block, searching for inspiration and finding it in the most unconventional way, or as a metaphor for an artist becoming so deeply absorbed in her work that it literally pulls her in. Either way, it's an intriguing and thought-provoking short.
