Episode 4 of El Eternauta starts strong and maintains tension throughout. The chaos begins immediately-the protagonists are no longer facing an invisible threat like the deadly snow, but now something much more physical and aggressive.
The external assault is raw and well-executed. There's no overuse of effects; everything feels grounded. The pacing is significantly faster than in earlier episodes, which gives the story a more urgent and engaging flow. No filler, just survival.
The bell scene is one of the episode's highlights. It feels eerie and almost divine. The attackers stop cold, and that visual silence after chaos is striking. It instantly reminded me of Resident Evil 4, where Leon is surrounded in the village and the bell rings just before it's all over. That "miraculous interruption" is executed perfectly here.
Juan Salvo continues growing as a reluctant leader-he doesn't give speeches or play the action hero, but his actions show strength and intelligence. Visually, the series continues to impress with its cold palette and claustrophobic interiors.
I give it a strong 9. This episode brings action, suspense, symbolism, and clear narrative progress. If El Eternauta keeps this tone, it could become one of Latin America's most memorable sci-fi series.

Episode 4 is a clear showcase of the high production values behind El Eternauta. This installment delivers a powerful mix of tension, drama, and action that keeps you fully engaged from start to finish.
The special effects and sound design are impressive, easily matching the standard of major Hollywood productions. From the visuals to the pacing, everything feels polished and purposeful. At times, the episode reaches the heights of the best sci-fi out there, delivering scenes that are both thrilling and emotionally resonant.
Ricardo Darín continues to stand out in his role, bringing depth and intensity, but what's even more compelling is how the script highlights the courage of ordinary people. It's clear the story isn't just about one hero, but many-reflected in everyday characters rising to the occasion.
A standout episode that pushes the series to new heights.

Episode 4 finally stirs from its coma. After three chapters of mood-setting so slow it could be classified as a new form of therapy, The Eternaut remembers it's supposed to be about survival, and throws in some actual peril for good measure.
Juan and his buddy Tano face the Big Bad: the alien force behind the apocalyptic mess. Is this the real problem? Maybe. Maybe it's just a new flavor of misery. Either way, the reveal is less terrifying and more... grotesque. Think less "existential dread" and more "who let the Cronenberg interns design this?"
Still, with the help of a scruffy band of fellow survivors (clearly recruited from central casting's "desperate but plucky" pile), our heroes dodge one grisly fate only to run headlong into the next. Progress!
