The past few seasons (the current one excluded) felt like they were straying more and more from the "a-social" characters they used to be, scheming, awful people, creating awful scenarios, but not scenarios that seem unrelatable, it's the mixture of absolute ignorance, lack of morals, and then deciding to act on those things thinking it's the right thing to do (it's not), that makes it so funny and work so well.

This episode feels to me like a Sunny episode when they were at their peak (in my opinion),seasons 4, 5, 8, 10, some individual episodes from the seasons inbetween, but those seasons stood out to me as being all bangers.

This episode most definitely fits that description in my opinion, an absolute banger that reminds me of the good old sunny, I think it's not only the best episode this season, but best episode in many many years.

I love this show so much. But this season, there aren't many laughs. The episodes are super smart and cool, but I haven't felt what I used to in the first 12 seasons. I feel the actors don't play the same characters even though the idea of the show is that the characters don't grow. Charlie feels tired, The character used to be over-the-top loud and energetic. The same for mac. Dennis, Dee and Frank haven't changed a lot, so I like it, but without Mac's energy since the season he became gay, he's another character, so depressed, he sounds he's sad all the time, nothing about being gay or not. Maybe that was just a coincidence. I feel it's not the jokes that got bad, it's the timing, something inside the editor's room. Like the first episodes of this season that had many scenes ending without the familiar music playing as a "laugh track" to make things lighter. This one was better in this aspect. All in all, a good episode, not so funny though.

This season continues to be the strongest Sunny in several years with every episode solid to great. This episode has been my personal favorite to date, feeling like a classic early season Sunny. Full disclosure, but I had no idea who Rob Rosell was until a few weeks ago when he and Marder were guests on the Sunny podcast. It quickly became apparent just how integral the writing duo have been to the tone and characterizations for the show. Rosell returned to write this episode and absolutely delivered. He has a knack for getting in their characters' heads, especially Frank. As a parent who recently visited Rat's friend Chuck for the first time in 30 years, this episode absolutely nails the hook of how things have changed for each generation.

I don't know what it is, whether it's the return of Scott Marder and Rob Rosell or if it's the cast rewatching the series for their podcast, but this season of IASIP has been great. After a couple of seasons that have not been fantastic, the show is finally returning to its roots and what made me fall in love with this show. This episode is a perfect example of that. They had risky jokes, big swings, and huge hits. I loved this episode. It felt like and episode that would have aired during season 7 of the show. Thank you Charlie, Glenn, and Rob, this show is a masterpiece that made me believe in network tv again.

So like, yeah, this is my favorite show and this is probably my least favorite episode next to Mac Finds His Pride. I just don't agree with the political leanings and it just makes it so much harder to watch.

Looking at the reviews, the average person won't mind. I just keep thinking about how I am going to be able to add this to my playlist. I'm not going to go into nick pick details but every time I try to watch it, I can't. I started skipping through the first time I watched it and I had to remind myself that this is my favorite show and that is not allowed.

Really, I don't understand the high ratings for this one. Even if you did agree with ever political point, it didn't feel that classic Sunny to me. I could look past the things I don't agree with but it just wasn't funny, abnormally poorly acted but worse is just how forced it feels. We did this already in Big Mo! It was the fake out end. Why are we doing this again and worse? That's so basic.

As negative as this review seems, I'm so happy to still have the show and the ability to look forward to new episodes. It honestly seems like they are trying enough and I'm pretty content with this season. This episode just didn't resonate with me at all. It's pretty unwatchable tier for me right now. I'm really hoping it grows on me like Ladies Reboot and not like Finds His Pride or Cricks Tales. Oh and to all the die hard Sunny fans out there.....Put your hands up.
