I was so surprised at how much I was enjoying these first two episodes at first, then I realized that they're basically picking up from where season 3 ended with these last six episodes. So many reunions are happening for the first time since the dam: Madison and Strand (the big one), everyone and Troy, etc. And the focus has primarily been on the show's original characters.
I began watching season 4 when it aired and got tired of it very quickly. I've seen a few episodes here and there but if you dropped the show after season 3, this is a great place to jump in. The atmosphere is the most vibrant since season 3 and the writing is surprisingly sharp, if still not perfect. Excited to see how it ends!

Nothing has changed at all from the first 6 episodes except it might actually be worse which is absolutely crazy because in my eyes 8A has produced the worst content in this franchise so far. World Beyond is obviously a close 2nd and then Tales in the 3rd spot but at least World Beyond and Tales were awful from the second it started, ftwd was incredible for the first 3 seasons, then has been turned into the worst show, so its a harder pill to swallow.
Ive said it before, theres just nothing good about this show anymore. The way its produced is awful, the dialogue as everyone knows is some of the worst on TV, majority of the characters are cringe, im not sure why but all the extras are just bad actors and cringe, im not sure whats happened to Kim Dickens but her acting has fallen off a cliff. I cant believe people think its good and rating it like a 8,9 or 10. If this episode is a 8,9 or 10 then what does that make episodes like 5x01, 6x09, 7x01 and 1x01 from the main show?
Not only just as a stand alone episode is it abysmal, its made even worse by the fact that the Daryl show was so amazing and has so much direction, acting ability, dialogue, scenery aswell as good and likeable characters, everything that ftwd does not have.
Ian and Andrew should have been sacked many years ago.

At some point during this episode, I was wondering who else could possibly be brought back from the dead. I didn't have too wait long before there was another one! Unwelcome revivals, in my opinion. It made me laugh, but it wasn't actually funny.
One thing I like doing (when there is French/German spoken) is watching the English subtitles and checking on my translation, seeing where the translation is not 100%, etc. Later in the episode there were a few scenes where Strand's German pronunciation was absolutely terrible (e.g. "spät" and "leid") so I assume these scenes were filmed earlier, before he got help with it.

Just terrible... this used to be a decent show up to a few seasons ago, but this is just the worst. I couldn't help but roll my eyes several times at the lazy and idiotic writing and action choices.
It seems the actors know it to and are just going through the motions. All of them have delivered much better performances, but I guess you have to work with what the "writers" give you.
So bad that I wanted to stop watching about twenty minutes in and found myself skipping 10 seconds forward for the last ten minutes.
After watching this episode I have absolutely no desire to finish the rest of this series.
Such a wasted opportunity.

Even in a show about the undead, bringing Victor back as a gay, German speaking good guy is such weak writing that it's an insult to viewers intelligence.
This is really scraping the bottom of the plot barrel.
The show writers obviously spent none of their strike time exercising their creativity in any way. The plot here is like a fat flabby effort after months of doing nothing, and needs a training montage to get back into some sort of fighting fitness before a comeback.
Clearly it's a sign to shutter up shop. This horse is clearly dead, flogged, risen again, flogged again, and died again ... repeatedly.
