The Mystery of Secrets

When this show first began, I could tell by it's debut that it was a slow paced show. Now, there's nothing wrong with slow pacing, but in this kind of series that needs to be waited on weekly for new additions, it doesn't work at all.

The episodes should not, I repeat, should NOT be 22 minutes long. Nothing gets done.

We're literally about 6 episodes in and yet each episode feels the same, and ends the same.

Especially this episode.

To recap the episode. It mainly is just the heroes waiting for their robotic companion to be repaired. That is it, that is the entire episode. Enjoying watching the characters sit and wait. Cause that is exactly what I was doing, sitting and waiting for something to happen.

I had high hopes for this show, but so far, as the episodes go on, it just is really not boding well with my attentiveness.

This episode really derailed my passion for wanting to keep giving this a chance, since each episode ever since the first two, have been really underwhelming.

It's unfortunate, really, but it happens. I just hope with how far we are already in the episode, that the pace, or the story actually starts to pick up. Because if this annoying slow paced cartoon continues as is, it will fall off, if it hasn't already.

Good God. Did Gendy sell this series as just one 90 minute movie and everyone just dragging their feet to get every episode done?

Nothing happened this episode! Nothing. Okay I am going to say that one thing happens this episode but that could have happened next episode, the episode before it. It lasted 90 seconds.

So 24 minutes of nothing happening and 90 seconds of one thing happening.

This series is too long for the small story that it had in mind and it's a shame because it has potential but no one seems to care about doing anything in this universe. Here are some ideas that they could have done: 1) City sets anti magic law. Our heroes basically become fugitives and have to avoid the cops.

2) A cult based on the heroes and their magic is seeking to kill the heroes and their families. They track Emma's family and kidnap them to drag the heroes into a trap.

3) Monk boy investigates a clue left by himself from the past, find that their enemies are also tracking the Maguffin and that Sing's previous incarnations descendants are protecting his Macguffin.

4) The enemy summons a ghost army from the past that the heroes knew and have to fight to return them to the grave.

5) Elf guy discovers that industry kingdom have destroyed magical Forrest that his people worship. He goes on a rampage and his colleagues have to stop him.

6) Heroes talk about previous incarnations stories in medieval times and how things were worse than now. How in the past they could have been burned at the stake for their magic power.

So many things they could have done in the empty space of the episodes.
